Yuan Chengzong Tiemuer: There are not many good emperors in the Yuan Dynasty, but Tiemuel must be counted as one

(Yuan Dadu)

To the second year of the New Year, September.

Most of the Yuan Dynasty.

In the early dynasty, several ministers jointly wrote to Kublai Khan, the ancestor of the emperor, with the content of which was to advise the emperor that he was old and should give the throne to the crown prince Zhenjin in advance.

On the surface, it seems like advice, but in fact it is more like forcing the palace.

Of course, the emperor was very angry, saying that I am not dead, so why don't you think about the throne?

Knowing that they had lost their word, the ministers fell to their knees in fear and did not say a word.

Of course, they were not lobbyists sent by the prince, or the prince's forces, but the prince's sworn enemies.

Prince Zhenjin had a just temperament, and he was most unaccustomed to corrupt officials and corrupt officials, and even once carried a knife on the way to the upper court to block ahma, a powerful minister who often embezzled and accepted bribes, and threatened not to stab him to death.

As everyone knows, since the founding of the country, bribery has been rampant and corruption has become a common practice, and the real gold that has always loved to fight corruption and promote honesty has naturally formed a vendetta with many ministers in the court.

These ministers took the retreat as an advance, pretending to go to the emperor to recommend real gold and ask the emperor to quickly take the throne, but in fact they pushed real gold into the fire pit.

But as the founding emperor, Kublai Khan certainly would not be fooled by these ministers so easily, he was just angry, but did not blame or punish real money.

The emperor is not a fool, and a few ministers engaged in some conspiracies and tricks certainly cannot provoke the relationship between the emperor and the prince.

The emperor did not take it seriously, but the crown prince Zhenjin fell into an inexplicable pessimism.

He received a good education from an early age, knew the principles of benevolence and generosity, and as a prince, he sympathized with the people and knew the sufferings of the people.

He thought that by his own efforts, he would definitely make the world better.

But what the ministers did made Zhenjin disappointed in everything.

He believes that it is a dark, desperate world.

With this negative pessimism, Zhenjin became depressed and died soon after.

(The image of prince real gold in film and television dramas)

The prince died, and Kublai Khan was very sad.

He loved his son very much, and this love was a thick and inseparable fatherly love, so Kublai Khan did not want to create another prince among the other sons, but loved Wu and Wu, and planned to choose an heir among the heirs of Zhenjin.

Zhenjin had three sons, the eldest son, Ganma la, the second son, Dala Ma Bala, and the youngest son Timur.

The emperor reused Han Chen, and at that time, half of the Han chen in the Yuan Dynasty court could reach half of them, and although these Han chens wore Mongolian clothes on their bodies, they were still Confucian in their hearts.

In the traditional Confucian view, the succession to the throne should be a concubine, and no concubine.

The translation means that the first born son becomes the emperor, and the son born later stands aside.

Therefore, these Han courtiers all vigorously supported Ganmala's ascension to the throne.

But don't forget, half of the ministers in the court were Mongols.

The Mongol custom is called "young son shou stove", which means that the older son is pulled away, and the younger child is the king.

A protracted dispute between HanChen and Mengchen began, the two groups of people had their own rules, and no one could convince the other, so they decided to rely on their ability to speak.

Whoever has the ability, whoever is the prince.

At this point in the development of things, Comrade Timur's superiority is reflected.

Ganmara players are inherently weak, have little political participation in the court, and are not good at fighting and marching.

On the other hand, the Tiemur players, who could write and fight, were simply the representative figures among the young talents at that time.

Catching up with the rebellion of a prince named Hadan at that time, this gave Timur a good opportunity to find a brush experience, he rode on a horse and carried a spear, pressed Hadan to the ground and pounded it, quickly quelling the rebellion.

The eyes of the masses were shining, and Kublai Khan's eyes were even brighter, and after some thought, he decided that the position of the prince would let Timur sit.

Fair and open, no one has anything to say.

Timur, who had become crown prince, was carefully trained by Emperor Shizu, and he arranged for Timur to be a teacher who was responsible for daily teaching and assisting the prince, and this teacher's name was Yuxi Timur.

After arranging for Timur to take care of the minister, Comrade Kublai Khan closed his eyes and died.

Yuan Chengzong Tiemuer: There are not many good emperors in the Yuan Dynasty, but Tiemuel must be counted as one

(Kublai Khan)

The founding emperor of the Great Yuan Dynasty was born heroically, but died quietly, quietly completing his life.

The old emperor died, and As the crown prince, Timur was to take the throne immediately according to the rules, but Ganmala, who had lost in the previous round of competition, was very unconvinced, saying that he also wanted to fight for a round of opportunities to become emperors, and wanted to compete with Timur again.

Under normal circumstances, in the cruel struggle for imperial power, each contestant can only have one chance, the winner stands on the stage of history, claims the king's hegemony, and the loser withdraws from the field, and if he is not defeated, his life will be lost.

But the system of this dynasty was different from any previous dynasty, the Mongols were born enthusiastic, upright, and not as scheming and ruthless as the Central Plains, so when Ganmara made this request, Timur actually agreed.

Before he could ascend to the throne, he had to personally defeat his brother, who was unwilling to submit to him, which was a severe test for Timur.

Let's guess that the two people grabbed the throne, and the content of the test should be more professional, or more ferocious.

Compared with the strategy of governing the country, than leading the soldiers to fight, than riding and shooting, than the courage, should all be the content of the experts.

No matter how bad it is, you can also let the two people compete in martial arts, both high and low, but also the kind of life and death.

However, the competition items of the two players, Ganmala and Timur, can be said to be ironic, and their competition content is very simple and simple, that is, to recite the ancestral sermon.

The ancestor refers to the founding emperor Kublai Khan, of course, it may also be Temujin, the meaning of the sermon is the words and deeds of the two people before life, someone specially summarized into a famous quote, this famous quote is a royal thought journal, any royal disciple of the Yuan Dynasty should respect and worship, and like a number of family treasures, backwards like a stream.

Back to the stream is a very interesting idiom, an article or a book, it is actually meaningless to recite it backwards like a stream, but often can be back like a stream, you can win the praise of others.

Endorsement is not a difficult thing, Ganmala will also carry, Timur will also carry, but coincidentally, Ganmala was born with the disease of stuttering, so the whole recitation process is extremely difficult.

When the ministers looked at you, you stuttered and wanted to stop talking, you were insincere, you didn't take the words of the emperors seriously.

Thus, Timur once again won.

Yuan Chengzong Tiemuer: There are not many good emperors in the Yuan Dynasty, but Tiemuel must be counted as one

in Timur

In 1294, Timur officially ascended the throne, known as Yuan Chengzong.

The temple number "Cheng" can be derived from many meanings, success, Cheng Ren, Cheng Daqi. However, the word "cheng" is used in Timur's body, but it only means "shoucheng".

Shoucheng meant that as an emperor, Timur had limited ability and average level, but overall it was not too bad, and he had no way to sail the giant ship of the Yuan Dynasty to a farther and more brilliant place, but he would not let the ship sink.

Of course, some historians are too harsh on emperors, and they believe that as emperors, mediocrity is a sin.

But in my opinion, from the beginning of the founding of the Yuan Dynasty, even if it is not the rise of the four seas, the universe is clear, this regime has been in turmoil from the beginning, and it is like a lot of danger, so Timur can do it, it is already quite good.

After Timur ascended the throne, he did a very interesting thing.

Throughout the dynasties of the Yuan Dynasty, all of them were born in the grassland, turned to the four directions, and performed military feats.

The Mongols may not admire your cleverness and martial arts, but they will certainly admire your ability to lead your troops to fight and build miracles repeatedly.

Emperors who have just ascended the throne are often faced with the situation of being despised by the old ministers of the former dynasty, who look down on the new emperor who has not dried up, so they are not willing to give the emperor their lives in a dead heart.

Timur believed that if he wanted to serve the people, he must do some military feats on him.

But he looked around and saw that no one was messing around.

From the thirteenth century when Genghis Khan unified the steppe, the Mongols can say that they kicked the Central Plains regime and punched the European countries, and the surrounding regimes basically made the Mongol army afraid, who dared to make trouble under the eyes of the Yuan Dynasty?

Don't you say, there really is one.

In northern Thailand, there is a regime called the Eight Hundred Daughters-in-Law Kingdom, which is not under the administration of the Yuan Dynasty and intends to run into the Yuan Dynasty.

Eight hundred daughters-in-law, one might understand as the king of this country has eight hundred daughters-in-law.

But what I want to tell you is that you are right, the reason why the country of eight hundred daughters-in-law is called the country of eight hundred daughters-in-law is because the king has eight hundred wives.

Timur was even more angry after hearing about this, I am a great emperor, but a few concubines, you are a small country, there are actually eight hundred daughters-in-law, don't you just punch me in the face?

The emperor was furious and sent troops to attack, vowing to wipe out the eight hundred daughters-in-law kingdom.

Yuan Chengzong Tiemuer: There are not many good emperors in the Yuan Dynasty, but Tiemuel must be counted as one

(Eight hundred daughters-in-law, that is, the Lanna kingdom in northern Thailand)

The Mongolian iron horse is not blown, three times five divided by two will pacify this small country.

In addition to fighting wars, Comrade Timur also did many other things.

The people's livelihood was suffering, he ordered rent-free, the Central Plains drought and flood, he ordered disaster relief, culture declined, he ordered the opening of schools to popularize Confucian culture.

Later in his administration, he even realized that running out to fight was also an act of depleting national strength, and began to advocate recuperation and strike with the surrounding regimes.

From the macro perspective of history, these achievements of Emperor Chengzong Timur are actually quite remarkable.

He does not love women, nor is he murderous and tyrannical, nor is he extravagant and wasteful, he hardly has any bad hobbies, and even vaguely reveals the atmosphere of Ming Jun.

So why is he evaluated as merely a mediocre lord of keeping?

The reason for this conclusion is that he really did not wronged Tie Mu'er, because although Tie Mu'er did a lot of good things, he still failed to solve the biggest problem of the Yuan Dynasty government.

The problem is corruption.

The corruption of Yuan Dynasty officials can be said to be an old tradition, with nine officials and nine officials, and the other one is paying bribes.

Let's look at a historical record:

In the six years and one year of Dade alone, 18,473 officials were investigated and punished for suspected corruption, and the amount of money involved in the case reached a staggering 15,865 ingots.

It can be said that the ministers began to embezzle when they opened their eyes, and did not stop until they left work.

In the past, colleagues were more greedy than each other than political achievements and business levels, and now they are much more greedy than anyone, and if you don't embezzle two or three hundred million, you are embarrassed to see people when you go out.

And all this is something that Timur, who has the heart to oppose greed and is powerless to return to heaven, cannot solve.

The heroic soul blood of the ancestors of the past generations flowed in Timur's body, and he could conquer the most powerful enemy in the world at that time.

On the battlefield, he is an invincible being.

But in the complex political struggles and court plots, he was a weak emperor.

As an emperor, Timur's greatest sorrow is that he understands everything, but he can only watch with his eyes.

This was the good fortune of the Yuan Dynasty, because at least the sovereignty of the country would not be subverted, and the people would not be humiliated by foreign enemies.

But this is also the misfortune of the dynasty, because the emperor will only fight wars and will not rule the country, and this seemingly powerful empire will one day go to the end of the road.

The dead end will come soon, faster than anyone could have imagined.
