China has a long history of 5,000 years, and during this long period of time, the mainland has also given birth to countless historical periods that we talk about, and there are also some events in these historical periods that make us feel regretful and regretful.
Among them, the events that occurred in the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the period of strife were compiled into "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", one of the four famous novels today.
In this troubled era, some people vow to revive the Han Dynasty, and some people want to achieve their own great causes, each of which has its own glorious moments, and the most regrettable of them is the "miracle doctor" Hua Tuo.
But in the end, he died tragically at the hands of Cao Cao, and many people felt very sorry for this, and even thought that Cao Cao had brought a huge loss to the medical community.
But after analyzing many historical materials, it was found that things were not so simple, and there was a reason why Cao Cao insisted on killing Hua Tuo, and even said that it was still a correct decision in the era at that time.
Let's take a look at what this is all about.
Hua Tuo in our memory
As a country with a strong cultural heritage, many things in our country are traceable, although Western medicine is prevalent now, but throughout history, you will find that the excellent Chinese medicine culture in the mainland is not inferior to Western medicine at all.
Among them, the most eye-catching are the "four famous doctors" in ancient times, Bian Que, Hua Tuo, Zhang Zhongjing, and Li Shizhen left many medical works for the mainland.
And Hua Tuo and Zhang Zhongjing are both medical scientists in the late Eastern Han Dynasty in the mainland, but because of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms TV, we ordinary people know more about Hua Tuo.
In the records of the Three Kingdoms, Hua Tuo did not appear many times, mainly divided into four times, the first time was Hua Tuo to save Cao Cao's subordinate Chen Deng, and the dying Chen Deng vomited a large number of parasites after being treated by Hua Tuo.
Later, Hua Tuo reminded Chen Deng that the disease would recur in three years, and he must remember to come back to himself to get the medicine at that time, but he didn't expect to find Hua Tuo, and Chen Deng passed away like this.
Another time it was Sun Ce's subordinate Zhou Tai, in order to protect Sun Quan, he was shot several times in his body, and he survived by Hua Tuo, who was fortunate when you were dying.
And what we all have the deepest impression of Hua Tuo should be that he scraped his bones and healed Guan Erye, and was impressed by Guan Erye's endurance and perseverance and said the sentence "The prince is really a heavenly man"!
There is also Cao Cao in his later years who was plagued by headaches, and every time he had a headache, Cao Cao made Cao Cao feel that his head was about to explode, so there was an incident where Hua Tuo wanted to start a skull for Cao Cao, and then Cao Cao was imprisoned and finally tortured to death.
To be honest, every time I see this, I hate Cao Cao in my heart, and a doctor was tortured to death by him just by proposing his own treatment plan.
In many records, there is a statement that Hua Tuo treated Cao Cao's illness, but there is a deviation in time, and there is no relevant record of Hua Tuo scraping bones and healing injuries in the records of historical materials.
It is true that Guan Yu was injured by a poisonous arrow by the general of Cao Jun, resulting in poisoning, but it was an unknown military doctor who scraped his bones to heal his wounds, and he acted like this on TV, just to highlight Hua Tuo's medical skills, and Guan Yu's image as an unusual person.
Hua Tuo's medical skills
Because it was already 219 years when Guan Yu was poisoned by the arrow at that time, and Hua Tuo had died in 208, it was not Hua Tuo who scraped Guan Yu's bones to heal his wounds.
There are different opinions about Hua Tuo, and it is said that Hua Tuo's career was not smooth at that time, mainly because of the probation system at that time, and your official position depended on the person who recommended you.
Therefore, Hua Tuo embarked on another path, that is, medicine, Hua Tuo's attainments in medicine can be said to be very profound, since he was a child, he has a deep insight into pharmacological knowledge, and in adulthood, because of the view is not smooth, he began to go out of the house to improve his experience while hanging the pot to help the world through his own skills.
Through years of travel, Hua Tuo's medical skills are getting better and better, not only proficient in pediatrics, gynecology, internal medicine, surgery, but also familiar with acupuncture, and in the process of many years of power, Hua Tuo invented a drug called "Ma Boiling San".
That is, the anesthetic we commonly use now, according to the calculation of time, it is more than 1,600 years earlier than the time when the anesthetic was developed in the West.
According to the relevant records, Hua Tuo is a very qualified doctor, and in his eyes there is no gap between the rich and the poor, only the difference between normal people and patients.
And he also has his own ambition, that is, to treat the people of the world, so he did not stay in one place, and traveled all over the year round to save lives and cure diseases through medical skills.
And through his own knowledge, he also created a medical work called "The Green Capsule Sutra", as well as the "Five Fowl Opera", but unfortunately the "Green Capsule Sutra" has not been handed down due to historical reasons.
The "Five Bird Sutra" is developed by Hua Tuo according to the posture of five kinds of animals, which can achieve the effect of strengthening the body by imitating the activity posture of five kinds of animals, and is also known as the earliest "health exercises" by later generations.
And in the process of treating Cao Cao, the "Five Fowl Opera" also spread in the military camp of the Wei army, and perhaps the strength of the Wei soldiers was also related to this.
It is said that one of Hua Tuo's disciples lived to be 90 years old by practicing the "Five Fowl Opera", and he still has sharp legs and feet, and his ears and eyes are clear.
Do you think this is the end, Hua Tuo is not called the "Holy Hand of Surgery" in vain, Hua Tuo also developed extracorporeal heart compressions and mouth-to-mouth breathing, which is actually chest compressions and artificial respiration.
In middle age, Hua Tuo had arrived in a barren village, where the villagers had a very poor complexion, and Hua Tuo's diagnosis found that it was anemia, and long-term malnutrition led to such a hidden danger.
And Hua Tuo didn't pretend to be invisible, he immediately informed him about picking the medicine, and observed the changes in the state of the villagers for many days, until the villagers replied almost before leaving, and finally did not receive the villagers' remuneration, but only took some vegetables and fruits as compensation.
As a doctor, Hua Tuo not only has superb medical skills, but also has the heart of a doctor, but he didn't expect that his fate would quietly take a turn at the moment he began to treat Cao Cao.
Hua Tuo healed Cao Cao
We deeply regret Hua Tuo's death, especially after learning about his contributions to the field of medicine in mainland China.
But when it comes to Cao Cao, each of us has a different opinion, those who like him think he is an excellent person, while those who don't like him think that he is an ungrateful and treacherous villain.
But in the late Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao Cao has always had the ambition of hegemony, even if many people were not optimistic about Cao Cao at first, thinking that he did not learn and did not know, but some people still evaluated him as a "traitorous male".
Later, Cao Cao did rely on his ingenuity to escape after assassinating Dong Zhuo, and then he had the experience of "coercing the Son of Heaven to order the princes", defeating Yuan Shao, and claiming to be the king of Wei.
But if you want to say that the sentence that I remember most about Cao Cao is, I would rather pay the people of the world than teach the people of the world to bear my life quotes, and Cao Cao did say this sentence vividly.
When Cao Cao fled with Chen Gong, he met his father's best friend's family, and saw others sharpening their knives Cao Cao mistakenly thought that he was going to take him to report to the official, so he killed this family, and finally learned that people were just for killing pigs to entertain, and then there was this Cao Cao's own wise saying.
And Cao Cao's "head disease" is also a strange disease that he contracted in the process of conquering the world, in fact, it is also described on TV, that is, Cao Cao will hit his head with something at hand every time he has a headache.
But the difference from what is on TV is that Cao Cao did not seek Hua Tuo to heal himself at the end of his life, and the real record should be earlier.
It was about when Cao Cao was in his 50s, that is, the year of the famous Battle of Chibi, when Cao Cao had a headache, so he invited Hua Tuo, a miracle doctor, to heal himself.
There are also two theories here, one is that after treating Cao Cao, Hua Tuo gave a craniotomy to take out the treatment method for the headache.
But at that time, he was killed as a person sent by the enemy to kill himself, Cao Cao's character is known to everyone, although he is generally more trusting when employing people, but he himself is a suspicious character.
There is also a theory that Hua Tuo used acupuncture to relieve Cao Cao's headache every time at first, but what Cao Cao wanted was a radical cure, and the radical cure could only be carried out by craniotomy.
and left Hua Tuo by his side to become a direct personal doctor, but Hua Tuo is not like this, he wants to be a hanging pot to help the world, although he is so poor, but he does not have to feel the life of a companion like a tiger.
So Hua Tuo asked for leave on the grounds of going home to visit relatives, and Cao Cao did not stop him and allowed his request.
But after a period of time, Cao Cao had a headache and sent someone to ask Hua Tuo to come back, but Hua Tuo refused on the grounds that his wife was sick, and after several times to find a reason, Cao Cao also understood, so he sent someone to see if there was really someone in his Hua Tuo's family who was sick.
As a result, it is conceivable that this is just Hua Tuo's excuse, and Cao Cao did not get used to him, and directly ordered him to be put in prison and executed a few days later.
Although Xun Yu also interceded for him, the status of doctors was very low at that time, and Cao Cao also said that without such rats, there would be no one else in the world?
In fact, it can be seen from this that the social status of doctors at that time was really not high.
Later, it is said that in the prison, Hua Tuo wrote down his medical works "Qing Capsule Sutra" and Ma Boiling Powder in books and handed them over to the guards, but the guards burned them all for fear of causing trouble to themselves.
summary
In fact, if you think about it from another angle, this is also the embodiment of Cao Cao's imperial technique, Cao Cao at that time experienced a dark moment in his life, and people in the defeated army panicked many times.
If there has always been a healer by his side, he will undoubtedly shake the morale of the army again, and in ancient times, the disobedient deception was indeed a capital crime, and Cao Cao also died 12 years later, and his heir Cao Pi succeeded to the throne, and this person sat on the throne of God before he suddenly realized that his father's good intentions were good.
At that time, the lives of the common people were like mustard in the eyes of the emperor, and we do not evaluate right or wrong, but it is a pity that Hua Tuo's book "The Green Capsule Sutra" has not been handed down, and it has become an important loss for the medical community.
