This article investigates the interaction between mitochondrial function and cell death patterns in low-grade gliomas. Eighteen mtPCD co-expression genes related to prognosis were screened by machine learning methods, and 146 genes associated with OS were screened by Cox regression analysis. By constructing a risk model based on these genes, LGG patients were divided into high and low mtPCDI groups, and KM analysis was performed to evaluate the prognosis, and it was shown that high mtPCDI score was associated with poor prognosis. In addition, the authors analyzed the multiomic signatures, underlying biological mechanisms, and immune signatures of mtPCD-tagged genes, and performed pan-cancer analysis. The results of this study provide new ideas and candidate genes for the prognosis prediction and treatment of LGG patients.
