Autumn is also the season of bamboo growth, if you want to flourish with leaves, no yellow leaves, no falling leaves, young shoots and bamboo shoots will "gurgle", you need to do three or four more things when maintaining, in order to cultivate an old tree, to have a higher value.
1. The first action: good planting material
In autumn, for bamboo to grow well, the planting material must be good, which plant material is good? The soil is loose and fertile, with enough basal fertilizer, and with granular plants, bamboo can grow very well, and the leaves are fat and green.
The bamboo at home has not grown for a long time, and the leaves have become yellow, so the first thing to see is how the plant is growing. When planting materials, there are two things to pay attention to.
(1) Fertile soil, if you keep it for a long time, the soil will also become very hard, you can add some plant feed, which can solve this problem well. For example, gravel, crushed charcoal, perlite, vermiculite, etc., are all good choices.
(2) There must be base fertilizer in the planting material, and there are many kinds of base fertilizer, such as bone meal, sheep manure, organic fertilizer, etc. This kind of base fertilizer can continuously exude nutrients for long-term absorption of bamboo, and supplement nutrients with water-soluble fertilizer in the later stage, so as to obtain the desired effect.
2. The second action: prune the residual leaves
Newly bought bamboo, usually grow very well, but missing a trunk, we can first determine the main bamboo shoots, the focus is to pick those that are more stout, 4-6 is enough, all the others are cut off, focus on cultivating these branches, and then use topping, topping and other methods to make it better form a pot.
Pruning is not just about shaping bamboo, it is more likely to have yellowing leaves, so it needs to be pruned at the right time and maintain a certain humidity. These include:
(1) Whether it is due to the dry environment or the yellowing of the leaves due to the underground stem, it is necessary to treat it in time, as long as the damaged parts are removed, the bamboo can grow new bamboo shoots at a very fast speed.
(2) Dry air is the main reason for the yellowing of bamboo leaves, generally indoors, spray fog once a day in the morning and evening, and then open the window to prevent the leaves from turning yellow.
3. The third action: do not bask in the sun
This is very critical, we are in the study, tea room, and even bedroom, if there is not enough light, the bamboo will feel the lack of sunlight in the process of growing, at this time, put it on the balcony, it will definitely harvest an empty pot. Wenzhu can't tolerate sun exposure.
The correct way to do this is to first determine whether the lack of sunlight is causing the branches to grow long, grow weakly, and the leaves turn yellow. If it's really a lack of light, you only need to do two things:
(1) Wenzhu is most suitable for placing scattered light, such as in the study, bedroom, etc., and placed near the window, where there is enough scattered light and no direct light.
(2) If there is no proper light condition, you can put the bamboo leaf green in the morning or after the evening, where there is sunlight, so that the sunlight will not burn the tender bamboo leaf green. However, don't forget to bring it in, otherwise our efforts will be in vain.
4. The fourth action: replenish liquid fertilizer
Bamboo does not like fertilizer, after the use of base fertilizer, basically the first year does not need to fertilize, can be water-soluble fertilizer to provide nutrients to bamboo. Compared with solid fertilizer, water-soluble fertilizer is more suitable for bamboo.
There are dozens of types of water-soluble fertilizers, and there are even many special fertilizers that are fermented after being soluble in water, and these water-soluble fertilizers are prepared by merchants, as long as you don't buy fakes, there is still an effect. But I prefer to make the liquid fertilizer myself:
(1) The use of water-soluble fertilizer is a habit that has only been cultivated in recent years. At the beginning of raising flowers, they are accustomed to using slow-release fertilizers (slow-release fertilizers are better than slow-release compound fertilizers), which is very convenient. But it didn't work out very well. Therefore, after using water-soluble fertilizer (that is, after fertilization), the effect is visible. It's like using Hua Duoduo No. 1 to water the flowers at home (including bamboo)
(2) I have also tried to dilute the compound fertilizer with water and then pour it on the flowers, but the effect of Flower Flower No. 1 is better, a small spoonful can be mixed with 1000 g of water, and after spraying the flowers, you can also water two large oranges.
(3) bamboos do not need special care, every time the spray flowers are more than 1, the rain can evenly penetrate into the bamboo, the bamboo will become dark green, and the growth is very good, but remember that in the process of climbing, the vines must be cut off.
