A glimpse of Hong Kong

I went to Hong Kong once in 2016 and stayed for one night and two days, and the overall feeling was good. There are several aspects.

1. Crowded, especially on the main streets. As soon as you get out of the subway, you will be surrounded by people in a hurry, as if you have traveled to a strange world.

Second, the food is good. After eating a few meals, although it was simple, it tasted good, especially the first roast rice, there were more than a dozen people in line, and saw that the price was only 13 yuan, so they also lined up. When I got to the place, I was told that it was 18 yuan per person (it seemed to be), and 13 yuan was sold to the local elderly over 60 years old in Hong Kong. Only then did I realize that most of the people in line were elderly. So I bought three boxes, and because the store was small and there were no seats, the three of them took it to the small park bench next to it to eat. The conditions are simple, but it is the best roast meat I have ever eaten. In addition, McDonald's is a cheap food in Hong Kong, and there are many elderly people staying in it.

3. Be friendly to outsiders. Most of the people I met were very friendly to our family of three (husband and wife plus mother-in-law), except for two vendors who sold things in the market, who seemed to be old women in their 60s. The most impressive thing was that I found an unobtrusive corner on the street to look at the map, and after just half a minute of looking, a female college student (who felt like) took the initiative to come over and ask where she wanted to go, and then she helped to show the way.

Fourth, pharmacies have characteristics. The small pharmacies on the street are really small and open, but most of the medicines sold are beautifully packaged Chinese patent medicines, which becomes a sight. Unlike our proprietary Chinese medicines, the packaging is shabby and lacks design. In addition, the price of the Chinese patent medicine they sell is not expensive, I bought a box of bone-setting ointment, which is very useful.

5. The hotel rooms are pitifully small and not cheap. Three people lived in a room, less than ten square meters, except for three small beds in the room, a small bathroom basically has no place to stay. Such a room costs more than 500 yuan.

Sixth, the natural landscape is good. Especially the sea view, it is very beautiful, and the night view is even more beautiful.

Seventh, the girl standing on the street. There are street girls standing in the small streets and alleys, and there is only one every ten meters and eight meters, and there are about seven or eight people on that street. didn't come out to solicit customers like in the movie, they all stood silently sideways against the wall, about twenty or thirty years old, and they didn't look too carefully when they walked by, an indescribable feeling.

8. Public libraries are good. It was probably Yau Ma Tei, a public library caught my eye, so I went in and had a look. There are quite a lot of people, all reading books silently. There are a lot of beautifully bound children's original English books that attract a lot of children? The bookish atmosphere is very strong.

9. The store is good-looking. There are many shops, but the shop signs are very eye-catching, no one covers anyone, it is staggered, colorful, it looks like the kind of lively scene where merchants gather, and the world is full of fireworks. I can't figure out why many cities in our mainland want to carry out unified store signs. The whole street shop signs have the same background, the height is unified, the font size is the same, and it looks lifeless and depressed. What's more, there is a store sign in a certain district of the northern provincial capital city with white characters on a dark gray background, and even Mixue Bingcheng has become a black and white photo, which looks very eerie and terrifying, and is jokingly called a funeral street by the locals. Therefore, urban management must be scientific and extensive, and not too detailed.
