The term Wuling first appeared in the Spring and Autumn Period, when the State of Chu destroyed Fang Guoyong and placed Hanzhong County, and wuling County was established. After the Qin Dynasty destroyed Chu, the Chu people moved south, and Wuling and other place names also moved south to the area of Wuling Mountain in Changde, Hunan, which was also changed to Wuling County in the Western Han Dynasty. Wuling County in the Western Jin Dynasty was abolished, and only Wuling County remained. The Wuling people in the text are Changde people, so the place of Taohuayuan should be the mountainous area near Changde City.
