As the distance to the finish line shortened, the big group began to accelerate the pursuit and recover all five of the previous leaders at 19 kilometers from the finish, after which the riders moved forward as a group, and the teams began to scramble for the seats when they were 3 kilometers from the race.

After the last turn, Mireen Desotte of the Sunla Tenshi-WNT Women's Pro Team suddenly accelerated and crossed the line in 2 hours, 34 minutes and 47 seconds, wearing not only the yellow shirt, which symbolizes the first overall individual result, but also the green shirt with the best sprint results. Nina Kessler of Jack Elora Women's Pro won the best polka dot jersey for climbing.
Although Tang Xin of the Chinese team ranked 58th, he won the white shirt with the best results of the youth. The best result of the Chinese team was Zeng Luyao, who crossed the finish line in the sixth place.
The 2023 Tour of the Women's Road World Tour around Chongming Island is a women's world tour (2. WWT), according to the 2023 calendar announced by the International Self-Union, the 2023 Women's Road Cycling World Tour will have a total of 30 stops around the world, including 13 multi-day races.
