At about 10 p.m. on the same day, the Chinese Olympic Committee awarded the medals that should have belonged to them to Cheyang Shijie, Liu Hong, Lu Xiuzhi, who won the gold, silver and bronze medals in the women's 20km race walk at the London Olympics, and Tang Xingqiang, Xie Zhenye, Su Bingtian and Wu Zhiqiang, who won the bronze medals in the men's 4×100m relay at the Tokyo Olympics.

Why such a make-up ceremony?
Let's start with the London Olympics. On August 12, 2012, in the women's 20km race walk event at the London Olympics, Cheyang Shijie won a bronze medal, and Liu Hong and Lu Xiuzhi finished fourth and fifth. In February 2022, the Court of Arbitration for Sport issued an announcement announcing that Team Great Britain's athlete Uja had violated doping regulations, and the British team's relay results were cancelled. In May of the same year, the International Olympic Committee held an executive committee meeting in Lausanne and announced that the Chinese track and field men's 4x100m relay team won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, and the Canadian team won the silver medal.
Su Bingtian, who previously announced the early end of the 2023 season due to physical reasons, finally came to the Asian Games and received the Olympic medal he cherished.
As the first Chinese to participate in the men's 100m final of the Olympic Games, Su Bingtian's contribution to Chinese athletics and Asian athletics is huge.
