According to CCTV News previously reported, on March 21, 2022, the Athletics Integrity Committee, an independent investigative agency under the IAAF, issued an announcement that the women's 20km race walking champion of the 2012 London Olympics, Russia's Yelena Rashmanova "was disqualified for illegal doping", and Rashmanova had accepted the decision at that time.

On March 30, local time, the IOC Executive Board meeting entered the last day of the agenda. Following the disqualification of two athletes for anti-doping violations, the IOC Executive Board decided to redistribute medals in some events at London 2012.

In the women's 20km race walk, the original champion was disqualified, China's Cheyang Shijie won the gold medal in the 20km race walk at the 2012 London Olympics, and Liu Hong and Lu Xiuzhi won silver and bronze medals. In the women's 400m hurdles, the original champion was disqualified, and the American Demuth won the gold medal.

At the Tokyo Olympics, the Chinese team consisting of Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang and Tang Xingqiang ran 37.79 seconds in the men's 4x100m relay final, ranking fourth. Italy, Great Britain and Canada finished in top three.

But soon after the game, the British team fell into doping suspicions. In February last year, the Court of Arbitration for Sport issued an announcement finding British sprinter Chikindu Uja for violating anti-doping regulations during the Tokyo Olympics, and his relay results were cancelled, the silver medal won by the British team was stripped and the Chinese team was expected to replace the bronze medal.

After nearly three months of waiting, the IOC held an executive committee meeting in Lausanne last May to announce that the Chinese track and field men's 4X100m relay team had won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
