Serious fire in downtown Vancouver! 200 passengers were evacuated
A category 3 fire on Granville Street in downtown Vancouver in the early hours of Saturday morning injured one firefighter, rushed two people to hospital for smoke inhalation and forced the evacuation of nearly 200 travelers from a nearby hotel and inn.

Hotel travelers said they woke up early Saturday morning and were surprised to see a huge orange flame burning outside the window, and the smell of smoke filled the hotel room. As the alarm sounded, the guests of the Samesun and Belmont hotels rushed out of their rooms.
About 200 tourists were displaced by the fire, according to firefighters.

Why exactly did the fire or involve murder?
Assistant Chief Fire Chief Pierre Morin Pierre Morin of Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services said they believed a fire broke out at the rear of the building at 1020 Granville after 2 a.m. A car caught fire in the back alley, eventually causing the Samesun Hotel to be burned.
