Alfa Romeo Originals held an online presentation on August 30 to unveil a global limited edition of 33 two-door two-seater mid-engined flagship sports cars, named as a tribute to the 1967 33 Stradale sports car, which shares a lot of chassis and other components from the Maserati MC20, and offers a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with a maximum horsepower of 629 hp (PS), and an all-electric dual-engine option of up to 750 hp, and a WLTP range of 450 km. At present, the quota of new cars has been fully sold, and although the price has not been announced, foreign media estimates that the cost of each car will exceed $1 million.

The original Alfa Romeo factory first introduced the 33 Stradale sports car 56 years ago in 1967, which was derived from the Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 race car introduced in 1966, when the Tipo 33 was dominated by Group 6 and Group 4 races. As for the 33 Stradale, it was a road-legal version of the Tipo 33 that year, hence the name Stradale (street), and between 1967 and 1969, 18 vehicles were produced worldwide in limited quantities, equipped with a maximum horsepower of 230 hp 2.0-liter V8 power engine, paired with a 6-speed manual automatic, and the total weight of the car was only 700 kg. Now, more than 50 years later, Alfa Romeo has reintroduced the name in its limited edition flagship sports car, which shows the intention of paying homage to the classics of the past.

The new generation of 33 Stradale, limited to 33 vehicles worldwide, is modeled by Alfa Romeo's global design headquarters Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, and shares a large number of platforms and components from Maserati MC20, providing Tributo and Alfa Corse for Layerpeak customers with a total of 2 styles to choose from. Externally, its elegant, rounded silhouette pays homage to the old 33 Stradale, but the new 33 Stradale also has many technological elements implanted, including LED headlight clusters with dynamic display functions, LED eyebrow decorations on the outer frame of the headlight group, and a tank guard shape with a 3D logo silhouette.

The 33 Stradale is divided into a large amount of aluminium alloy to build the body, the side section also has quite unique lift-up doors, layered windows, rear wheel arches that extend from the side door to the rear of the car, with a fairly three-dimensional texture line, black T-shaped air intakes on the side of the car, a large gold aluminum ring set of 5 Fu double ribs under the feet, and a carbon fiber aerodynamic package under the body. At the rear, the 33 Stradale features a black Alfa Romeo lettering in the center, flanked by a fairly three-dimensional semi-circular LED taillight cluster, with a central basket design and a bilateral double exhaust pipe configuration.

Inside, the 33 Stradale emphasises an airplane cockpit as inspiration, whether it's the roof ceiling lever or pushrod gear lever design, the metal lever and knob design of the central saddle, all of which show a high level of craftsmanship, and the seats are also covered in Poltrona Frau's high-quality leather, plus a 3-spoke steering wheel and a dual-ring instrument panel with built-in LCD screen.

In terms of power, the fuel version of the 33 Stradale is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine with a mid-engined rear-drive layout and a maximum horsepower of 629 hp (PS). The maximum output of the all-electric version is 750 hp, and the WLTP range is 450 kilometers, but the Alfa Romeo factory does not specify whether it is a two-motor or even a 3-motor configuration. However, the original factory emphasized that both power models can complete zero hundred acceleration in 3 seconds, and the vehicle's top speed is 333 kilometers.

In terms of driving modes, the 33 Stradale offers a Pista track mode with Strada streets and an emphasis on pure performance, in which the suspension is tougher and the throttle response is more aggressive. The 33 Stradale also features independent front and rear A-arm suspension in the chassis, with active shocks, carbon ceramic braking system from Brembo, and the new car is more emphasized at the Balocco proving ground in Alfa Romeo, Italy, with the help of F1 driver Valtteri Bottas.
