Through the four acts of "Granting Festivals", "Keeping Festivals", "Passing Festivals" and "Envoys", the large-scale original dance drama "Zhang Qian" interprets Zhang Qian's "journey through the hollowing out" of his mission to the Western Regions, showing the vivid scenes of extensive exchanges, comprehensive exchanges and deep integration of various nationalities, praising the patriotic spirit and feelings of home and country, and carrying forward the Chinese culture that has been inherited and developed for thousands of years.

At the media meeting on the same day, the participants of the dance drama "Zhang Qian" performed the first act for the media friends: the festival, and the second act: the festival. Xing Shimiao, the general director of the dance drama "Zhang Qian", introduced that in 139 BC, in the second year of the Jianyuan Dynasty of the Western Han Dynasty, Zhang Qian led a peace mission from Chang'an to the end of the festival given by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and began a legendary "journey of chiseling the air". In the Hexi Corridor, Zhang Qian was intercepted by the Xiongnu king, and in the face of coercion and inducement, he did not lose the Han Festival. He was trapped in the grassland for ten years, bid farewell to the Xiongnu wife, and once again stepped into the vast desert, the only two people left in the Han mission were Zhang Qian and his retinue Gan Father. Wading into the vast western region, Zhang Qian walked through various city-states with han festivals in hand and embarked on a path of peace. "The messengers look at each other on the road, and the merchants travel endlessly", Zhang Qian's figure walked through the thousand years of the sun and the moon, opening up the ancient Silk Road.

It is understood that the creation of the dance drama "Zhang Qian" lasted 4 years, went through 4 stages, and was officially launched in March 2018; the outline of the repertoire was completed in September 2019; the dance sections were refined in May 2020; the rehearsal was implemented in 2021; and the rehearsal was completed at the end of July 2021. After 4 years of meticulous grinding, the creation and rehearsal of the large-scale original dance drama "Zhang Qian" was successfully completed on October 17, and will be premiered in the Urumqi Cultural Center Grand Theater recently. After the first round of performances, it will be performed in the form of ticket sales and resident performances for the benefit of the people, and this year and next year will also tour to various prefectures and cities in Xinjiang, and tour to other provinces and cities in due course, and dedicate excellent stage art works to the people of Xinjiang and even the whole country.
