<h1>Leaf nail habits</h1>
Adults prefer to move and lay eggs in darker, hidden places. The eggs are mostly concentrated in rotten and moist pseudostem and dead leaf tissues, and a few are found in the topsoil of banana orchards. After the eggs hatch, the larvae bounce into the soil, harming the roots of the plant. After the larvae mature, the bananas on the ground are unearthed.

<h1>Insect pest occurrence patterns</h1>
The distribution of adult insects in the soil is as follows: sandy soil> sandy loam soil> loam > clay soil, dry banana land> paddy field replanting
There are three peak periods for adult pests: mid-to-late May, July to August, and mid-October.
Sandy soils, no sprinkler irrigation conditions, weeds, and plantain larvae and adults without mulching are densely populated.
After rainfall, it is beneficial for the larvae to pupate and adult insects to emerge in batches.
<h1>Prevention and control measures</h1>
Physical measures
