In order to make full use of the platform of the 19th Western China International Expo, actively promote Mingshan, promote the implementation of more high-quality projects, further learn from the experience of organizing conferences and exhibitions in the Western Expo, and comprehensively improve the level and effectiveness of the Mingshan District Festival. On July 1, Yu Yunfeng, Secretary of the District Party Committee, led a team to visit and study at the 19th Western China International Expo. Gao Jiaxiu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the District People's Congress, Ni Lin, chairman of the District Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, leaders of the district party committee, the standing committee of the district people's congress, the district government, and the district CPPCC, the president of the district court, the chief procurator of the district procuratorate, and the principal responsible persons of various departments (units), towns (neighborhoods) and relevant state-owned enterprises at the district level attended the meeting.
In the Western China International Expo City, Yu Yunfeng and his entourage visited the Ya'an Pavilion, the Chengdu-Chongqing Shuangcheng Economic Circle Construction Hall, the Mianyang City Pavilion, the Ziyang City Pavilion, the Gansu Provincial Pavilion and the Thailand Pavilion. Everywhere they went, the members of the visiting and learning team listened carefully to the detailed introduction of each exhibition hall, and from time to time communicated with enterprises on relevant issues and discussed cooperation space.
The 19th Western China International Expo was held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province from June 29 to July 3, with the theme of "China's New Era, New Journey in the West", a total of 6 theme pavilions including the "Belt and Road" International Cooperation Pavilion, the New Era Western Development Hall, the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle Construction Pavilion, and 4 professional exhibitions including digital economy and hydrogen energy industry, attracting more than 3,500 enterprises from 56 countries (regions) to participate in the exhibition. This year's Western Expo is the guest of honor in Thailand, and the rotating chairman unit is Gansu Province, and for the first time a dual theme city is set up, namely Mianyang City and Ziyang City. 17 countries, including Thailand, Belarus, Chile, Australia and Pakistan, set up national pavilions, and 27 domestic provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps participated in the exhibition.
Yu Yunfeng pointed out that the 19th Western Expo is the first national-level large-scale exhibition jointly held in the western region since 2020, and it is necessary to deeply understand the importance of holding this expo, firmly seize the opportunity, make full use of the Western Expo platform, actively communicate and dock with exhibitors and merchants, publicize the development and changes of Mingshan, take the initiative to carry out docking exchanges, highlight the regional characteristics and industrial advantages of Mingshan, and continue to expand the popularity and influence of Mingshan. It is necessary to take this visit and study as an opportunity, combine the development of famous mountain areas, conscientiously study the advanced experience of organizing exhibitions, and seek breakthroughs in the level of hosting festivals. It is necessary to further emancipate the mind, open up ideas, focus on key points, solve difficult problems, apply the advanced concepts and experiences learned to reality, and open a new chapter and lay the foundation for the high-quality development of Mingshan with a stronger sense of mission and responsibility.
During the visit, Yu Yunfeng also had friendly discussions with Ms. Sirin Surathin, head of the Royal Thai Consulate General in Chengdu, on cooperation, exchanges and common development.
