Zhang Jianhan: Coca-Cola has more than 50 water management projects in China

Beijing News (reporter Wang Ziyang) On October 14, at the theme forum on coping with climate change (carbon peak carbon neutrality) and protecting biodiversity, Zhang Jiantao, vice president of Coca-Cola Greater China and Mongolia, said that from the big rivers to the surrounding communities, Coca-Cola is cutting into biodiversity protection from the perspective of water resources management. To date, Coca-Cola has more than 50 water management projects in China, distributed in 23 provinces. ”

In recent years, Coca-Cola has established a "Golden Triangle Combination" cooperation model, that is, a three-party joint construction and win-win situation with government departments, social organizations and enterprises. Following this model, Coca-Cola China has worked with the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Water Resources, the United Nations Programme for Planning and Development and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) over the past 10 years to promote more than 50 water conservation projects, including community drinking water safety, water source protection, sustainable agriculture, wetland protection and restoration, and farm constructed wetlands.

Since 2014, Coca-Cola China has achieved its 100% "water giving back" goal every year. Zhang Jianhan said that to promote the sustainable development of society, enterprises are an important force. For Coca-Cola, sustainability work is the cornerstone of achieving its goals.
