Mountain rose is a general term for the succulents of the protosedum family, Greenovia Webb & Berthel, now included in the genus Lotus palm. [1] It has the characteristics of leaf expansion during the growth period (winter and spring) and closing during the dormant period (summer) [2].

The fleshy leaves are arranged in rosettes, and the plant width varies greatly from species to species, from only 2 to 4 cm in the small species Aeonium aizoon, while the large species A. aizoon is only 2 to 4 cm. Diplocyclum plants can be 30-40 cm or larger. The leaf color varies from gray-green, blue-green to emerald-green depending on the species and growth environment, and the leaves may show reddish-brown markings after exposure. Some species have slightly whitish and villi leaves or glandular hairs on the leaf margins. The flowering period is from late spring to early summer, with a total inflorescence, yellow flowers, and gradually wither the mother plant as the seeds mature after flowering, but the lateral buds at the base of the reliable plant continue to the offspring.
