Artificial intelligence is rapidly entering people's lives, national policies also advocate the popularization of artificial intelligence education for teenagers, and artificial intelligence science popularization activities into primary and secondary school campuses is an important way and means to promote intelligent education. In order to allow primary school students to fully learn the basic knowledge of artificial intelligence and feel the charm of artificial intelligence technology, on the afternoon of June 9, 2023, relying on the "i Science Popularization" science and technology volunteer service science popularization project of Henan Provincial Science and Technology Association, project team members Zhang Bing, Xu Weixing, teachers of the School of Energy and Intelligent Engineering of Henan Animal Husbandry and Economics, and robotics students Ye Fuxin and Bai Zhanlin walked into the Beichen Campus of Nongke Road Primary School in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou City, to carry out the "i Science Popularization - Youth Artificial Intelligence Science Popularization Tour" activity. More than 150 students from the school participated in this popular science activity. The activity aims to guide students to form correct values, so that they can grow into the backbone of the future scientific and technological society of the mainland, and become a group of young people with ideals, beliefs and responsibilities in the new era. The event included a lecture on the basics of artificial intelligence, a live demonstration of artificial intelligence products, and an interactive Q&A to imagine the future.
First of all, teacher Zhang Bing gave a lecture with the theme of "i Science Popularization - Youth Artificial Intelligence Science Popularization Tour". The lecture starts from four aspects: what is artificial intelligence, the emergence and development of artificial intelligence, the application of artificial intelligence and the future development prospects of artificial intelligence, so that students can more intuitively understand the basic knowledge of machine learning, computer vision, etc., and have a preliminary understanding of advanced artificial intelligence technology.
Next, two college students, Ye Fuxin and Bai Zhanlin, demonstrated artificial intelligence products for the children. The demonstration products include bionic spider hexapod robot, McNum wheel Ros intelligent car, go1 robot dog and xgo2 robot dog, after the demonstration, children are invited to the stage to operate, which stimulates their interest in learning and improves the effect of science popularization.
Finally, in the interactive Q&A session, the children imagined what functions of artificial intelligence products they would design in the future, and many ideas and ideas emerged. Some children believe that future artificial intelligence products should be able to automate housework and provide people with a more convenient lifestyle, such as cleaning, cooking, etc.; Some children believe that future AI products can have emotions and be able to communicate and interact more deeply with humans; Others believe that emergency robots can be developed to help people deal with emergencies, such as natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods.
