On June 9th, the Service Center of the Society held the second phase of the Intelligent Times Center Young Digital Talents Learning Activity with the theme of "Into iFLYTEK - Development and Application of Cognitive Intelligence Big Model Technology", attended by nearly 30 representatives of digitalization-related departments from five national societies, including the Urban Planning Society of China, the Chinese Chemical Society, the Chinese Society of Automation, the Chinese Computer Society, and the Society of Automotive Engineers of China. Director Liu Yadong and Chief Investigator Wei Dan attended the learning activities.
Liu Yadong pointed out that this study activity is a vivid practice to learn and implement the important content of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, an important measure to deeply understand the world outlook and methodology contained in Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, focus on the main business of the Association for Science and Technology, get close to the frontier workers of science and technology, promote the digital transformation of the society, and empower the development of the cadre team. Liu Yadong emphasized that the center's digital construction leads students to adjust their learning ideas in a timely manner, from mastering digital skills to applying digital tools, so as to adapt to the change of work needs in the era of AI. Young cadres should play the role of the main force that dares to think and do, take the lead in setting an example, lead their departments to learn and apply intelligent tools, and resonate with the development of the digital era. In addition, Liu Yadong invited representatives of national societies to jointly build AI laboratories to explore the impact and changes of AI on the relevant work of academic conferences.
The entourage visited the iFLYTEK artificial intelligence exhibition hall, experienced iFLYTEK virtual human interaction platform, speech synthesis system SMART-TTS, iFLYTEK hearing and other iFLYTEK products up close, learned more about the speech synthesis system, speech recognition technology, machine translation, artificial intelligence translation platform construction and the application of artificial intelligence in the fields of government affairs, manufacturing, medical care and education, listened to the development process of artificial intelligence, and experienced the great changes brought by artificial intelligence technology to people's daily work and lives.
Wu Dayong, Vice President of iFLYTEK AI Research Institute and Executive Director of iFLYTEK Beijing Research Institute, delivered a keynote report on "Development and Application of Cognitive Intelligence Big Model Technology", systematically analyzed the technical capabilities of cognitive large models such as "GPT", "Dawn" and "Spark", and elaborated on the typical applications of iFLYTEK cognitive large model. The students actively asked questions about the "Cognitive Intelligence Big Model", and Wu Dayong and Zhu Peng, General Manager of iFLYTEK Beijing, gave detailed answers one by one, and everyone also had in-depth discussions on related topics.
