Mr. Zong Pu, formerly known as Feng Zhongpu, is a contemporary writer, commonly used under the pen name Zong Pu, and his pen names are Feng Hua and Ren Xiaozhe. She is the daughter of the famous philosopher Feng Youlan and the granddaughter of Ren Zhiming. In 1947, he began to publish his works, in 1957 he published the fairy tale collection "The Moon Hunting Collection", and in the same year published the short story "Red Beans" which attracted the attention of the literary world. At the age of sixty, he began writing the "Wild Gourd Introduction" series of novels. At the age of 89, after the "Record of Southern Crossing", "The Record of Eastern Tibet" and "The Record of the Western Expedition", the "Record of Northern Return" that had been brewing for many years was finally released, which drew a satisfactory end to the four volumes of the "Wild Gourd Introduction" series. His major works include Selected Prose Novels of Zong Pu, the collection of essays "Lilac Knot", the novel "Nandu Ji", the translation of "Selected Poems of Mussée" (co-translation), "Daughter of Rapachini" and so on. His works "Dream on the String" won the 1978 National Outstanding Short Story Award, "Sanshengshi" won the 1977-1980 National Excellent Novella Award, the essay collection "Lilac Knot" won the National Excellent Prose (Collection) Award, and "Dongzang Ji" won the 6th Mao Dun Literature Award.

Shao Fenggong, secretary of the Xincai County CPC Committee, told reporters that Mr. Zong Pu's maternal grandfather, Mr. Ren Zhiming, was an outstanding representative of the historical and cultural celebrities of Xincai County and a democratic revolutionary in modern China. He joined the Chinese League in 1907 and worked as a tutor. In 1928, Xincai founded the present middle school and served as the chairman of the board. He became president in 1938. He once introduced progressive young people to the Liberated Areas and sent his children to Yan'an to study at the Anti-Japanese War University. After 1945, he served as the Senate President of Xincai County. After the founding of New China, he successively served as a member of the People's Government of Henan Province, vice chairman of the Consultative Committee of the People's Congress of All Walks of Life in Henan Province, vice chairman of the First to Third CPPCC Committee of Henan Province, and chairman of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang.
