We interpreted Li Lanjuan's academic level and status yesterday through big data analysis.

This article is about the big data analysis of Zheng Shusen's academic level.

Google Scholar is the most versatile way to evaluate the academic level of scholars.

We retrieved Shusen Zheng's Google scholar address, although it was not certified by Zhejiang University's email; however, the website had a photo of Zheng Shusen on the top and the paper provided matched Zheng Shusen's paper. Therefore, it can be judged that this page is maintained and can provide a basic and accurate academic profile of Zheng Shusen.

Free reading is available online, and it can be seen that Li Lanjuan is the last author and Zheng Shusen is the penultimate author. For joint scientific research with 5 research groups, this usually means that the two are the leaders of their respective research groups.

3, academic circles and peer comparison

Zheng Shusen's academic circle

930 papers have been published, showing that Zheng Shusen has a large research team. Its academic circle is shown in the figure below.

Zheng Shusen's academic status from a global perspective

For Zheng Shusen's academic status among domestic and foreign peers, we cite the data from the previous big data analysis of liver transplantation. We're following Zheng, Shusen, who is also in the midst of this big data analysis.

Big data analysis of papers published in the field of liver transplantation showed that Uemoto, Shinji in Japan, Terrault, Norah A in the United States, Lai, Jennifer C in the United States, Levitsky, Josh in the United States, Zheng and Shusen in China, etc. were the five most influential scholars.

Because chinese scholars' names sometimes have different spelling methods, we continued to do the search, and sure enough, we saw the spelling of Zheng, Shu-sen. From the perspective of units and departments, it should be the same scholar.

If the influence of Zheng, Shusen and Zheng, Shu-sen is put together, Zheng Shusen's influence in the field of global liver transplantation will be the third.

Zheng Shusen's single paper influence

In addition to the weighted analysis of the number of published papers + impact factor, Zheng Shusen's position in global liver transplantation, the impact of his published single paper (cited) is a more important indicator. After all, the former can be won by quantity.

In the field of liver transplantation, the high-impact papers of the last 5 years are listed below, and these studies have either rewritten clinical diagnosis and treatment or classic reviews/guidelines.

We see that a study published in China in 2016 ranked among the top six influential liver transplant research papers, which is the research paper of Zheng Shusen's research group.

When the Literature Bird Visualization Tool was applied to rank the impact of Zheng Shusen's published papers, the 2008 liver transplant paper on the Hangzhou experience and the 2016 paper on liver transplantation that broke the Milan standard were the top two. His paper published in Nature as a co-author came in third place.

This sorting result is different from the paper citations in its Google Scholar.

In fact, for doctors and scientists, research that solves clinical problems is the research that is really valuable. The two papers "Hangzhou Experience" and "Breakthrough Milan Standard" are obviously important contributions made by China in the field of liver transplantation.

From 930 research papers, 23,000 citations, to the top three liver transplant scholars in the world;

From the Hangzhou experience, breaking through the Milan standard, to two papers that have been widely cited.
