At 13:05 on May 28, the first "Heart-to-Heart Beijing-Tibet" tourist train of the Beijing Tibet Aid Project in 2023 departed from Beijing West Railway Station with more than 400 tourists, starting a 14-day journey. The opening of the train also marks the official launch of the "Beijing-Tibet" tourist train project.
At 12:10 p.m., at the platform of Beijing West Railway Station, dancers of the Railway Cultural Troupe danced the dance "Heavenly Road" to see off the tourists who were about to depart. Along with the singing, the tourists danced excitedly with the dancers, and everyone was full of hope for the wonderful 14-day journey. Tourists Jia Wei and his wife told the Beiqing News reporter that traveling to Tibet has always been their plan after retirement. "We originally wanted to travel to Tibet by car with friends, but then we heard that this year China Railway Travel Group launched a special tourist train into Tibet, with classic attractions and medical staff accompanying us, so the trip would be more secure, so we quickly signed up."
The Beiqing News reporter learned that the "Heart to Heart Beijing-Tibet" tourist train is a Beijing Tibet Aid Train project jointly built by the Beijing Tibet Aid Headquarters, the People's Government of Chengguan District of Lhasa City and China Railway Travel Service Group Co., Ltd. in the form of "railway + cultural tourism + ethnic unity", aiming to publicize the achievements of Tibet's reform and development, stimulate the vitality of Tibet's Lhasa cultural tourism market, and promote the high-quality development of counterpart aid to Tibet.
It is reported that the "Heart to Heart Beijing-Tibet" tourist train to Tibet has a total of 14 days. During the 14-day journey, passing through Xining, Lhasa, Nyingchi, Shannan and other places, tourists will enjoy the Danxia landform on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Buddhist holy place in the Tibetan Art Garden, the Thar Monastery, the temple closest to the sky, the Norbulingka of the plateau botanical garden, the picturesque Yani wetland, the sacred lake Basungcuo with the reputation of "Little Switzerland", the "place where the gods live" Lulang Linhai, the world's largest and deepest canyon, the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon, the Kadinggou Waterfall with magical legends, One of the three holy lakes in Tibet, Yangzhuo Yongcuo and other 16 areas have unique natural landscapes and peculiar cultural style scene areas in Tibet.
This year, the "Beijing-Tibet" tourist train will run three times, taking the form of "one special train, one theme".
