However, the owners of the vegetable stalls say that it is a temporary phenomenon, and when the cold wave in the north subsides, the price of vegetables should soon fall.

Zheng Banqiao was over forty years old before he entered the army, although he was only eight buckets high, listed as one of the "Eight Monsters of Yangzhou", poetry and painting were three masterpieces, and his fame was very large, but he had only served two county officials. Although he was not very successful, as a great poet, a great painter and a great calligrapher, and a court official, he certainly did not worry about the price of vegetables rising. It is said that he likes to grow some fruits and vegetables in his family yard, drink and paint while chanting and waving, and often receive friends under the fence of melon and fruit, which is very comfortable.

In the eleventh year of Qianlong (1746), Zheng Banqiao transferred from Fan County to Wei County. This year, there was a great famine in Shandong, and even the phenomenon of cannibalism occurred. Weixian was originally a prosperous Dayi, and due to the disaster and famine for many years, disaster relief has become an important part of Zheng Banqiao's presidency of Weixian County. He opened a warehouse to provide grain and let the people have coupons to provide. In addition, the construction of the city and the construction of ponds, the recruitment of hungry people from near and far to eat and go to work, Weixian local large households responded to the county government, and also opened factories to cook porridge to help the victims. According to records, Zheng Banqiao also "sealed the home of Jisu and lived more than 10,000 people." Autumn harvests are poor, donations are made to replace the wheel, IOUs are destroyed, and there are countless living people."
