Tintin's father: He will celebrate the goal against Chelsea

Manchester City new signing De Bruyne's father Herwig said his son didn't need to prove anything to Chelsea but would celebrate if he scored against Chelsea.

Hewig also believes that Tintin's current situation at Manchester City is completely different from that of chelsea. He spent two years at Chelsea but spent most of his time on loan. After just three appearances for the Blues, De Bruyne was purged to Wolfsburg by Mourinho for £18m.

But De Bruyne was successful in the Bundesliga and was named last season's league player of the year. After a £54m move to Manchester City, Herwig said de Bruyne is no longer the stunned youth he was then, he is already a very mature player.

Hewig said: "Kevin has a lot of ability now, he is no longer a spare tire in the trunk, he will be one of the main wheels, which is completely different from when he was at Chelsea. In Wolfsburg he's the king there, while Manchester City has 7 kings at the same time, so even if he does a good job, he won't be as eye-catching as before. ”

De Bruyne will follow Manchester City on Stamford Bridge on 16 April next year, and Mourinho recently questioned whether he did not have the mental will to play for the title-contending team. Hewig said Tintin wasn't thinking about revenge, but it would be wonderful to score goals in the game.

"Kevin doesn't need to prove anything, there's no difference between playing Chelsea and Swansea and he doesn't want to provoke anybody. But if he scored against Chelsea, he would say in his heart' 'Now I've finally conquered you.' ””
