It is said that there is a ginkgo tree in my yard, and every spring the young shoots grow, which is particularly eye-catching and endearing. But I never knew why its leaves were cracked.
Is it because the soil in this place is too fertile? Or does it rain every day during the rainy season? Or is it a male strain? That's why it looks so different.

First, look at the leaf type
The female plant is smaller and greener than the male plant, and the leaf center is shallower than the middle of the leaf; the male plant has a deeper lobe in the center of the leaf; the male plant has more leaf defects, and the female plant is only a missing moment in the middle, if it is subdivided, it can be seen that the lack of incision in the middle of the male plant is very deep, and the lack of the female plant is shallow.
Second, look at the flower form: the female plant does not flower, only bears fruit; the male plant only grows male flowers, not fruit.

Females have more horizontal branches than males and are more chaotic, germinate later in early spring than males, and fall leaves earlier in autumn than males.
