After trial, on May 2, a disciplinary court handed down verdicts on the crimes of ten players in China.
However, only 8 people have pleaded guilty so far, and Liang Wenbo and Li Xing are still the most stubborn.
Liang Wenbo is not involved in admitting or not admitting his guilt, but his attitude towards this incident is very elusive, he did not participate in the hearing in any way, and directly played disappearing.
This, of course, does not prevent the disciplinary court from convicting him.
Liang Wenbo's crimes were: 1. cooperating with Li Xing to falsify the game, supporting and encouraging other players to play match-fixing.
2. Threats against the players involved, as well as serious intimidation that they have to participate in the manipulation of the game; After being discovered by the World Taiwan Federation, he deleted his mobile phone information to obstruct the investigation.
3. Bet on snooker matches often.
Li Xing's crime is the same as Liang Wenbo's, except that he has disputed the verdict, that is, he has not yet admitted the charges.
The remaining eight pleaded guilty to the charges, which were:
Lu Ning participated in four fake matches, obstructed the investigation of the World Taiwan Federation and deleted the information on his mobile phone.
Yan Bingtao participated in four fake matches, often betting on snooker matches.
Zhao Xintong participated in two fake matches and often bet on snooker matches.
Zhao Jianbo falsified a game and bet on a match.
Chang Bingyu and Bai Langning each falsified a match.
Chen Zifan falsified one game and agreed to fake the other two, but he had not yet had time to compare those two matches.
Zhang cheated a match, bet on snooker matches, and obstructed the investigation of the Taiwan Federation.
At present, the eight people have confessed to the charges, and Li Xing and Liang Wenbo's denial is meaningless.
In other words, the initiators of the Chinese Legion's match-fixing case are Liang Wenbo and Li Xing, two people in order to achieve their own purpose of making money, through coercion and inducement, constantly involve the new generation of Chinese players in their improper incident.
The result was such a big scandal that many of China's rising stars fell before they could rise.
Of course, the case is not yet over, and the results of the penalties against these players need to be discussed at the hearing before they can be announced.
Hopefully, by then, we will hear a satisfactory result.
