Xiaomi is currently working on a major software update.
Xiaomi is upgrading all eligible devices to the latest MIUI 14 software update. Now announcing the next step in products that will receive major global updates. Initially, the company confirmed that 18 devices will have MIUI 14 installed. Among the 18 devices are some of the latest flagship devices such as the Xiaomi Mi 11, Mi 12 and Mi 12t series.
Later, Xiaomi confirmed its plans to upgrade about 12 POCO devices. However, the update process for POCO devices may be a bit slower. This is because Xiaomi intends to launch the update in the second and third quarters of 2023.
Xiaomi confirmed on Twitter that it will launch the MIUI 14 update on 16 new Xiaomi devices. These devices are Xiaomi's tenth generation smartphones, and it also includes some tablet devices.

It's worth noting that upgrading to MIUI 14 doesn't necessarily mean that the device is going to upgrade to Android 13. Xiaomi is actually MIUI 12 based on Android 13 and Android 14. This means that devices running both Android 12 and Android 13 are eligible to receive the new update. Xiaomi also confirmed the release of a separate second POCO device rollout plan.
MIUI 14 has returned to the top of Chinese UI. This is also essential for Xiaomi's high-end strategy. In addition to improving system fluency, the new MIUI 14 also offers a completely new design in terms of UI vision. For example, new huge icons, large folders, desktop pets, etc., provide users with a sense of freshness.
