Recently, Zhuanglang County has increased rainfall, field humidity has increased, potato 28 star ladybirds have entered the peak period of general harm, late blight is about to enter the stage of field pathogenesis, and the prevention and control of major potato diseases and insect pests has entered a critical period.

In order to control the occurrence of major potato diseases and insect pests as soon as possible and ensure a bumper harvest of autumn grain crops, the Zhuanglang County Agricultural Technology Center adheres to the basic principle of "prevention first, comprehensive prevention and control", formulates a plan for the prevention and control of major potato diseases and insect pests as soon as possible, and on the basis of the investigation of the eight potato grass-roots monitoring points in the county, through the early warning system combined with the field census, comprehensively predicts early warning, and scientifically guides the prevention and control of major diseases and insect pests such as potato late blight and twenty-eight star ladybirds.

In accordance with the prevention and control strategy of "early detection, early warning, early prevention and control", in early June, the Zhuanglang County Agricultural Technology Center issued enoylmorpholine prevention and control pesticides to the key townships and regions of potato planting in a timely manner; in accordance with the expansion trend of major potato diseases and insects in various townships, starting from late June, the government began to comprehensively organize the purchase of disease and pest control services, plant protection stations actively dispatched socialized services, organized 3 multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicles, and demonstrated potato planting in Yuebao, Nanhu, Liuliang, Tonghua, Yongning and other potato planting. Key areas such as seed potato bases and concentrated areas of more than 100 mu such as planting cooperatives and large planters carry out specialized unified prevention and control services, and guide professional teams at all levels to actively participate in the prevention and treatment of late epidemics.

During the period of major pest control and prevention, the Zhuanglang County Agricultural Technology Center dispatched nearly 100 professional and technical personnel to carry out technical service guidance throughout the whole process in various townships (towns), villages and fields, publicized and explained to the masses the occurrence of potato late blight, early blight, twenty-eight star ladybirds, aphids and other diseases and insect pests and their prevention and control methods, as well as practical technologies such as symptomatic drug selection, correct dispensing, appropriate use of drugs, and safe use, distributed more than 20,000 copies of prevention and control technology publicity materials, and guided the orderly development of prevention and control work in various places. Strive to contain major potato pests and diseases at the initial stage.

At present, Zhuanglang County has completed the purchase of 8550 mu of unified prevention and control services for major potato diseases and insect pests, with an average prevention and control effect of more than 85%, and the second batch of late disease prevention and control materials is being actively purchased, laying a solid foundation for this year's potato production and bumper harvest.
