This enamel jar was given to the iron man by Xu Jinrong, who participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, when he was the deputy instructor of the second drilling brigade in 1961.
The iron man always carried a satchel containing the cornmeal his wife fried for him and this enamel jar, and when it was time to open the meal, he would take out the enamel jar, grab a handful of fried noodles, and rinse it with boiling water to make a meal.
