The 2023 Gay Travel Safety Index is out. After an assessment of 203 countries and territories around the world, Canada is considered the safest travel destination for gay tourists, and Brunei is considered the most dangerous travel destination because of the stoning of homosexuals.
Chinese mainland ranked 110th, noting that China is actually one of the countries that receives the most foreign tourists, and homosexuality has been decriminalized in both legal and social consciousness, and "as long as you don't go to the wrong bar, locals basically don't care."
