The "Xiangsheng Bade" are eight famous cross-talk masters who were active in the Beijing-Tianjin area in the early 1930s, namely Yu Delong, Ma Delu, Zhou Deshan, Li Dezhao, Jiao Dehai, Liu Dezhi, Zhang Dequan and Li Dexiang, all of whom are of the German generation. These eight people have a very important position in the history of cross-talk in China, they have made great contributions to the development of cross-talk, and can be said to be the masters of cross-talk in the past and the future.

Speaking of the eight virtues of cross-talk, it has to arrange the generations of the cross-talk industry, which has been developed for a long time, and its generational division is also a unique complete system.

Here, first of all, the relationship between the teacher and the inheritance of the early cross-talk artists is roughly rationalized. Everyone knows that there is a Taiji Zhang Sanfeng in the martial arts world, but we all know that there is also a cross-talk Zhang Sanlu in the music art world, and Mr. Zhang Sanlu is the founder of Chinese cross-talk. At the beginning, Mr. Zhang Sanlu, the originator of cross-talk, received a total of three apprentices, namely Zhu Shaowen, Ah Yantao, and Shen Chunhe.

Zhu Shaowen was Zhang Sanlu's eldest apprentice, and he also took in Chun Changlong, Feng Kunzhi, Fan Changli, Gui Zhen, Xu Changfu, and Shen Zhushan. In this, Chun Changlong, Fan Changli, Gui Zhen, and Xu Changfu are the best. Chun Changlong is Ma Delu's master, Fan Changli is Zhou Deshan's master, Gui Zhen is Yu Delong's master, and Xu Changfu is Jiao Dehai and Liu Dezhi's master.

Ah Yantao is Zhang Sanlu's second apprentice, his eldest apprentice is called Enxu, is a very good cross-talk artist, Li Dezhuo, Li Dexiang, Zhang Dequan are his apprentices, he is also Ma Delu's father-in-law, that is, the grandfather of the cross-talk master Ma Sanli.

Yu Delong, birth and death unknown, the master brother of the German generation, the boss of the "Xiangsheng Bade", the stage name "Eye Jade", his master Gui Zhen, his master Zhu Shaowen. His apprentices included Wang Zhaolin, Tao Xiangru, Li Shaoqing, Zhang Yunwu, Zhang Shaotang, and Wu Jingchun.

Ma Delu (1882-1935), formerly known as Ma Enlu, was a native of Beijing and Ma Sanli's father. At an early age, he studied hard and had a certain cultural attainment, and at the age of thirteen, he learned art with Enxu, and later worshiped Chun Chimelong as a teacher, and performed in the Beijing-Tianjin area for a long time, which was well received by the audience. He has jointly opened up cross-talk venues with Jiao Dehai, Yu Delong, Zhou Deshan, Zhang Shouchen, Jiao Shaohai, etc., and has gained high prestige among peers with its steady, meticulous, rigorous and humorous artistic characteristics. Madlu's cross-talk performance focuses on portraying characters, language images, and humor. He is good at white sand sprinkling, and can sprinkle double hooks on the ground such as "Fulu Shouxi", "Zhao Cai Jin Bao", "Golden WanLiang" and so on. He played the counterpart "Wu Gua Dart", "Porridge Picker", stand-up "Antique King", "Timid Follower", "Wuxing Lou", "Junchen Dou", etc., all of which reflected his own artistic characteristics. He is not only a well-known senior actor, but also an organizer and teacher of cross-talk art, in his later years he presided over the cross-talk conference of the Lianxing Tea Society in Tianjin Dongxing Market, and through words and deeds, he created many talents, Gao Shouting, Gao Guiqing, Yang Wenhua, Yin Shoushan, Guo Rongqi five people are his apprentices.

Li Dezhuo, a native of Beijing, formerly known as Li Peiting, was nicknamed "Ten Thousand Charms". At the age of ten, Bai Enxu was a teacher and enjoyed a reputation among the audience for his "child cheers". At the age of fifteen, he learned from Xu Changfu (stage name Xu Youlu), who was quite educated in stand-up performance, and later learned from GuiZhen (stage name Fugen) to learn some passages of word game content. At the age of 21, he became famous and won nicknames such as "Joke King" and "Funny King". This person has a strange appearance, with a tall and wide face, large eyes and a high nose, and pouting lips. He is good at stand-up comedy, his performance is characterized by "no laughing field", the audience is amused to lean forward and backward, but he has a dull face, as if nothing happens, so he enjoys the reputation of "cold side funny". "Ten Thousand Fans" language is funny, excellent eloquence, he not only knows a lot of programs, but also very good at catching on the spot, and the passages he performs are mostly needles and evils, satirizing the content of the feudal system. In the early years of the Republic of China, Li Dezhuo performed at the Shengping Tea House in ShihuTong, Beijing. After that, he performed in Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenyang, Jinan, Kaifeng and other places, and was known as the "King of Crosstalk". In the winter of the fifteenth year of the Republic of China, Li Dezhuo went to Shenyang to perform, fell ill, and died soon after. Li Dezhuo has four fixed-scene poems to praise himself: "Funny old said that Dongfang Shuo, the inheritance of Jia Kaixi in later generations, from the end of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, called the king only I am fascinated." Ma Guiyuan, Yu Xiaoting, Jiao Baokui, and Zheng Zhongheng were his apprentices.
