On October 13, director Gong Xiaodong once again led the leading actors to the National Centre for the Performing Arts, announcing that after two years of continuous polishing, "Choice" was renamed "Winter 1948" and would be performed at the National Centre for the Performing Arts from October 21 to 26.

Set against the backdrop of a life-and-death armed battle that determined China's fate in the winter of 1948, between the Kuomintang and the Communists on the land of Jianghuai, the drama tells the story of four famous anti-Japanese generals who were famous in the Northwest Army in the War of Resistance Against Japan, and at the time of life and death, they were divided over their respective beliefs. Zhao Mengsheng, a former brother of life and death and a communist, made an unexpected visit, breaking the illusion of calm in the undercurrent of the camp... Gong Xiaodong introduced that the upgraded "Winter 1948" introduced the role of "interloper" communist Zhao Mengsheng in the plot, strengthening the dramatic conflict, making the story structure more rigorous and the plot progress more compact. It will not only highlight the complex predicament of Zhang Yufeng, an underground party member played by Wu Jing'an, on the eve of the uprising, but also show his mental journey of leading the deployment to the light without hesitation. In terms of stage design, the mechanical take-off and landing platform will continue the metallic texture, highlighting the heroic ambitions and pride of the revolutionary heroes on the hidden front of the Liberation War in the cold winter.
Wu Jing'an, Hong Tao, Zong Ping, and Yin Shi will continue the brotherly relationship first. Wu Jing'an said that when starring in this military-themed drama, the whole group has a military style, "The crew is not afraid of hard work, dares to work hard, scrupulously fulfills their duties and does their best, so that they can truly tell the Chinese story well and embrace the stage with all their hearts." Liu Dawei played the role of Zhao Mengsheng, a communist party member, and went deep into the enemy camp to stage a rival drama with the "four brothers", showing the image of a communist party member who was not afraid of life and death and was awe-inspiring in justice. The role of Han Xiaoyu, played by Liu Wenyi, a young actor from the Drama Team of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, will add a touch of tenderness to the hardcore stage. In addition, wu song, Liu Xiaowen and many other young actors also dedicated vivid and full group portraits to the play.
