"Halfway home" is not easy

Li Fang mentioned that at that time, Wang Han's 9-year-old age was actually very late for learning diving. Due to the age problem, Wang Han has some difficulties in doing many actions when he first learns to dive, and because he is facing the competition immediately, his practice time is relatively short, and the basic skills are not solid, which also makes Wang Han's future development experience some "small twists and turns".
In 2003, due to his excellent physical fitness, Wang Han was selected to the national team by Zhou Jihong, who was the leader of the Chinese diving team at the time. However, due to the problem that the basic skills are not solid enough, Wang Han is difficult to keep up with the progress in the training of the national team.
Li Fang recalled the scene at that time: "At that time, the leaders went to see her on the national team, and when they heard the 'pop', they knew that Wang Han jumped down. After training for the national team for more than a year, Wang Han was returned to the Hebei Provincial Diving Team.
After being "returned", Wang Han was once depressed and did not even want to practice diving anymore. However, under the guidance and encouragement of his parents, coaches and others, Wang Han finally returned to the jumping platform and started training again. After more than a year of training and technical correction, Wang Han returned to the national team.
However, this time the national team experience is not ideal for Wang Han. After practicing for more than a year in the national team, Wang Han returned to the Hebei Provincial Diving Team again because of the problem of not adapting. "At that time, Wang Han came back to me crying." Li Fang recalled.
But Li Fang is still full of hope for Wang Han. "If you're determined, let's start all over again!"
Wang Han did not disappoint his mentor, put away his tears, and began training again. This time, Wang Han changed his springboard and relearned some technical moves.
Kung Fu pays off, and after gradually making up for the shortcomings of the basic skills owed before, after the 2008 Olympic Games, Wang Han was again selected for the national team. And this time, she finally gained a foothold in the national team.
The bumpy road to the Olympics
After entering the national team for the third time, Wang Han was rapidly promoted under the guidance of coach Liu Henglin, and soon became the main force of the national team's key training.
