At the Winter Paralympics, the three words of three alpine skiers expressed the spirit of Chinese sportsmanship

author:Cool people

"The first time I came into contact with them, I was infected by the spirit in them. They skate very well, and that "strong" is inadvertent. As soon as I saw them, I thought: wow, so burning, so fighting. ”

A training leader of the event said this on the "Focus Interview" program on March 3, 2022.

These three "burning" and "fighting" athletes are all athletes who participated in the Winter Paralympic Games, they are Sun Hongsheng and Chen Liang from Liaoning Province and Zhang Wenjing from Hebei.

In the interview, the 3 contestants said 3 words. These 3 sentences seem ordinary, but they are heavy enough.

Because these 3 sentences not only speak the voice of alpine skiers, but also make people suddenly realize: the charm of the original Winter Olympians is here.

01 The moment you stand on the field, the sense of mission is different

In August 1994, when the state organs recruited civil servants for the first time, many people who had just graduated or had some knowledge were nervously preparing for the exam. They intend to gain "fame" through their own efforts and obtain a job with an honorable "sense of mission".

Interestingly, on April 1 of the same year, "Focus Interview" was officially broadcast; In December, the Sports Channel began a trial broadcast.

Also this year, in a place called Qingdui Town in Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province, a happy small family welcomed a boy who they gave unlimited "sense of mission".

However, no one in Qingdui Town knew that this ordinary boy would appear in front of them with a "special sense of mission" more than 20 years later.

This boy is Sun Hongsheng. Speaking of his "special sense of mission", we have to start in 2000.

On December 8, 2000, Sun Hongsheng, a 6-year-old boy who has always been lively and healthy, suddenly suffered an accident and lost both arms. At a young age, he has not yet experienced the joy of childhood, and he will face countless painful "dark nights" in the future.

Sun Hongsheng's parents looked at their young son like this, full of distress, but helpless.

Their hearts rang out in pain. What about the future? Is there hope for the son?

Thinking of this, Sun Hongsheng's parents were grieving. The "sense of mission" is completely unimportant, as long as he can take care of himself in life, it is his son's greatest sense of mission.

But the days have to go. Faced with the painful experience in front of them, Sun Hongsheng's parents had to swallow tears into their stomachs, secretly sad while trying their best to train Sun Hongsheng.

Over the years, Sun Hongsheng, who the people of Qingdui Town thought could not take care of himself, gradually learned to eat, dress, wash his face and bathe, go to the toilet, and even learn to wash his hair with his feet, write and turn books, use mobile phones, and operate computers.

What ordinary people can do, Sun Hongsheng has not fallen. This surprised the people of Qingdui Town. Not only that, but he also loves sports, and after losing the balance of his arms, he even learned to ride scooters and bicycles.

It is impossible to say that Sun Hongshengshun learned these things smoothly. He fell a lot, again and again; A lot of blood was shed, again and again. It's just that these setbacks did not "break" him, but made his physical fitness better and better.

In 2008, Sun Hongsheng had the honor of training on a swimming team in Shenyang.

During training, his coaches and teammates treated him well and always encouraged him. Gradually, Sun Hongsheng found self-confidence. After a while, his athletic talent began to manifest and he was able to put it to work.

Sun Hongsheng's family was overjoyed when they learned about it, and relatives and friends pooled money to sponsor him to go to Yunnan to participate in higher-level swimming training. However, only a year later, Sun Hongsheng voluntarily gave up training. Because swimming training costs too high, he doesn't want to burden his friends and family.

Those who are too kind in heart may be blessed by God. One day in the fall of 2016, members of the national disabled ski team heard that Sun Hongsheng had a good sports foundation, so they selected Sun Hongsheng and made Sun Hongsheng a national team para-skier.

However, Sun Hongsheng was not excited about this "unexpected joy", but worried. He knew that he was afraid of heights, lacked arms, and had difficulty controlling his balance, and that alpine skiing was too risky for him.

Fortunately, Sun Hongsheng was willing to take on the challenge. He overcame the fear of the height and speed of alpine skiing and carried intense physical training. At the 2018 National Alpine Skiing Championships for the Disabled, he won the third place in the men's standing class super-giant slalom.

This time, relatives and friends and people in Qingdui Town saw Sun Hongsheng in front of the sports channel screen.

Alpine skiing is very challenging. As the only skier on the Chinese team who lost both arms and a Winter Paralympic athlete, Sun Hongsheng challenged the difficult events that ordinary people could not challenge.

Sun Hongsheng said that the moment he stood in the arena, his sense of mission was different. Looking at the sportswear printed with the word "China", he has a glorious sense of mission, even if the results are not so outstanding, he has enough confidence to challenge himself and make the impossible possible.

02 I just want to achieve good results for my country

Like Sun Hongsheng, Chen Liang is a member of the Chinese Paralympic Alpine Skiing Team from Liaoning.

The difference is that Chen Liang is from Tieling, born in 1997, 3 years younger than Sun Hongsheng. He is not afraid of heights, but his body feels bad when he is confined in the ski gear.

In fact, Chen Liang did not have to confining his body in the ski machine.

All because one day in 2006, 9-year-old Chen Liang suddenly had an idea in his mind. The idea made him feel particularly enjoyable, so he took advantage of his family's lack of attention and made a bold decision to venture onto the train passing by his house to see the scenery.

It's good to have ideas, but it's also brave to be adventurous. But what about the consequences of the challenge?

The young Chen Liang was accustomed to seeing the train passing quickly through his door every day, and thought that seeing it every day would be less dangerous.

Reality is often harsher than imagined. Chen Liang's left leg needed to be amputated after he fell, and unfortunately became a "one-legged" boy.

Chen Liang's adventurous challenge, Chen Liang's mother was the last thing to mention. She knew that her son loved to take risks, and regarded the train track in front of her house as a commonplace village path, completely disregarding safety, climbing and playing at will, so that it became a regret for life.

Chen Liang's parents blamed themselves and regretted it, they felt that if their home was far away from the train track, maybe things would not happen, and they could let the family, especially their son, live a safe, healthy life.

Unfortunately, time cannot be turned back, and it is too late.

After smoothing out the initial pain, Chen Liang's parents, like Sun Hongsheng's parents, began to work hard and save money. He is eager to provide as much security as possible for Chen Liang's future life, and hopes that his son will have the opportunity to grow up like a normal child.

Therefore, Chen Liang's parents, who worked in the countryside, built a beautiful house next to their home early, intending to let their son stay by their side to facilitate their care.

Unconsciously, Chen Liang began to go to middle school. Chen Liang's parents were pleasantly surprised to find that Chen Liang's physical fitness was good. Although one leg is missing, it is possible to jump high and far.

In 2012, Chen Liang and a few boys were bouncing around, laughing and playing on the campus of Laosiping Town Middle School. Although Chen Liang was "one-legged", he walked quickly, which left a deep impression on the staff of the Changtu County Disabled Persons' Federation who came to the school to run errands.

Soon after, the Liaoning Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation Sports Training Team came to Changtu County to visit and look for "good seedlings". Chen Liang, a "good seedling" who was previously discovered by the staff of the Changtu County Disabled Persons' Federation, was naturally in the list.

Along with Chen Liang were two other classmates, but unfortunately, only Chen Liang continued to train hard.

At the beginning, Chen Liang focused on wheelchair projects. Until 2016, he was recommended to the national team and participated in alpine skiing practice.

Due to physical reasons, Chen Liang could only sit in a seated ski to participate in the competition. The seated ski is like a "hard shelf", which will support the whole person. When skiing, seated skiers are difficult to control.

In order to integrate with the ski, Chen Liang had to "reconcile" with the ski.

Chen Liang said that when he first came into contact with skis, the skis dragged themselves like a "burden". Many times, I am led by it, and I can't control it at all, I can only be controlled by it. If the ski goes straight down, he can only be forced to follow, unable to "make a call".

After more than a month of "running-in", Chen Liang was able to stand well on the snow with the ski, and wrestling became less. Most of the time, Chen Liang can also control the ski, give the skier some power, and make the skier "obey" him.

Alpine skiing is extremely hard and dangerous.

Despite Chen's adventurous lifestyle, during a training session in March 2018, an accident happened. He accidentally fell and injured him, resulting in a comminuted fracture of the tibia in his healthy right leg.

Looking at the sound leg showing a "separated" state, Chen Liang thought to himself that he had lost a leg, could it be that he would lose another leg?

Thinking about it, Chen Liang began to hesitate.

However, in the training team, he saw that the teammates around him worked hard one by one, even if they encountered big setbacks, they were still fighting hard. Chen Liang was deeply affected by his teammates, so he chose to continue training.

After a period of time, Chen Liang and the ski equipment worked better and better, and the skiing technology improved by leaps and bounds. He won the first place in alpine slalom at the 2018-2021 National Alpine Skiing Championships, the All-Games for Alpine Skiing, and the Asian Cup for Alpine Skiing.

For these excellent results, Chen Liang felt that it was because everyone was encouraging him, and he chose to take risks and challenges. If it weren't for the support of his teammates and coaches, as well as his loved ones, he probably wouldn't have been able to achieve it.

In the interview, he wore black-framed glasses, showed his white teeth, and smiled slightly, it doesn't matter if he is tired and tired, he wants to achieve good results for the country, and he also wants to raise the five-star red flag.

03 I am Chinese and I will never fall again

On March 12, 2022, at the Paralympic Winter Games, the five-star red flag was raised again.

Because two Chinese athletes won silver and bronze medals in the women's slaloms sitting category of alpine skiing. Among them, the silver medal was won by Zhang Wenjing, an athlete from Handan, Hebei.

Speaking of Zhang Wenjing, many people may be a little strange.

In the Chinese Paralympic alpine skiing team, Zhang Wenjing is a little sister. Born in 2002, she was only 14 years old when she joined the alpine ski team.

Zhang Wenjing said that at first she didn't even know "what skiing is", but later she was arranged to practice alpine skiing, and she was even more stunned.

Fortunately, she is the youngest and adaptable. Just a month later, Zhang Wenjing was given the opportunity to compete in the Netherlands. This is a beginner-level disabled ski race, although the scale of the competition is much "smaller" than the Paralympic Winter Games, but for Zhang Wenjing, it is the first important competition in her life.

However, Zhang Wenjing's first important game was hit hard by reality.

In the Netherlands, Zhang Wen faintly heard the radio shouting her name. Along with the name, there is also a lot of her coming from China and falling or something.

Zhang Wenjing suddenly shed tears. She felt so humiliated, and kept saying in her heart: "I represent China, I fell." ”

At this time, Zhang Wenjing stood up bravely while blaming herself. She wanted to continue the competition, but the organizers did not let her continue to skate, and said that Zhang Wenjing made a mistake and had no results.

Zhang Wenjing was very disappointed, but she immediately adjusted her emotions.

After returning home from the Netherlands, she quickly threw herself into training. I started training very early every morning and kept doing it for a long time.

She believes that if you practice well, you can be like a game. Long-term efforts to persevere will definitely produce a good result. Besides, foreign athletes have been skating for so long, and they should practice more.

Training is frequent, and it is inevitable to encounter troughs and bottlenecks. Fortunately, Zhang Wenjing always adjusts her state as quickly as possible and keeps herself in a positive posture for a long time.

The effort pays off.

Two years after falling in the Netherlands, Zhang Wenjing got the opportunity to compete in the Netherlands again with her outstanding training results. In this competition, Zhang Wenjing played steadily, not only did not fall, but won a gold medal.

Looking back on the game, Zhang Wenjing cried again. She was very moved to see herself appear as the first place in the lost place. She not only proved herself, but also "proved" the glorious "sense of mission" - the five-star red flag was raised in the Netherlands.

Since then, Zhang Wenjing has begun to try more "adventures", in addition to participating in the European Championships held in Croatia, the Czech Republic and other places, she also participated in the New Zealand Southern Hemisphere Cup, as well as the World Ski Championships in Switzerland, Italy and Slovenia.

Her "adventure" activities are mostly challenging success. Zhang Wenjing's name has also appeared on the "medal table" many times.

Of course, the most surprising thing is Zhang Wenjing's performance at the Beijing Winter Paralympics.

At the Paralympic Winter Games, Zhang Wenjing won three medals in just six days. The three medals came from the women's giant slalom (sitting), super-G (sitting) and women's slalom – sitting competitions in alpine skiing.

In the women's slalom-sitting competition, Zhang Wenjing won the silver medal with a time of 1:40.18. Challenged again and again, Zhang Wenjing never fell again.

Write at the end

"Sports carry the dream of a strong country and national rejuvenation." Whether it's the Summer Olympics, the Winter Olympics, or the Paralympic Winter Games, it's all a sporting event.

In the heart of every Paralympic athlete, there is a unique interpretation of life and an infinite sense of glorious mission. Sun Hongsheng, Chen Liang, Zhang Wenjing, and all the Paralympic Winter Athletes.

While taking risks, they dared to fight and challenge, won the applause of the world with unimaginably difficult training, and showed the infinite charm of Winter Paralympic athletes.

One year has passed since the Beijing Paralympic Winter Games, and the world's ice and snow sports are still continuing. May snow sports continue to make them strong, confident and optimistic.
