Recently, the "Light of Wisdom – Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Exhibition" will be unveiled at the National Museum of China.

As an outstanding representative of China's excellent traditional culture, traditional Chinese medicine is a medical science gradually formed and continuously enriched and developed by the people of all ethnic groups in China in thousands of years of production and life practice and the fight against diseases, with a distinct and unique view of life, health, disease and prevention, realizing the integration and unification of natural science and humanities, and containing the profound philosophical thoughts of the Chinese nation.

The exhibition takes Chinese medicine culture as the main line, selects more than 500 pieces (sets) of cultural relics collections, covering jade, ceramics, bone tools, gold and silverware, ancient books, calligraphy and painting, revolutionary cultural relics, etc., supplemented by more than 200 pieces (sets) of medicinal materials, according to the five units of "Key to Civilization", "The Way of Regency", "Linglan Secret Code", "Instrument Medicine Collection" and "Inheritance and Innovation", from different perspectives such as development process, prevention and treatment concepts, medical classics, Chinese medicine materials, diagnosis and treatment equipment, future prospects, international cooperation, etc., supplemented by a number of digital images and interactive projects , strive to fully display the Chinese medicine cultural system with a long history and unique concepts, and profoundly reflect the formation, evolution and outstanding contribution to the world of the independent knowledge system of Chinese medicine.

In the exhibition hall, the audience can see Xinglin classics such as "Typhoid Fever" and "Compendium of Materia Medica", and can also "dialogue" with famous Qihuang artists such as Hua Tuo and Sun Simiao. Many of the "best" of Chinese medicine are exhibited. For example, "Fifty-Two Sick Formulas" was unearthed from the tomb of Mawangdui Han and originally had no title. The finishing team is named after the inscription "Van Fifty-two" at the end of its catalogue. This is the earliest surviving medical prescription work in China. "Taiping Huimin and Pharmacy Bureau" is the world's first official codification of drug standards. At present, the commonly used clinical examples such as Huo Xiang Zhengqi San, Siwu Soup, and Niuhuang Qingxin Pill are all from this book.
