On July 10, a netizen consulted online about "whether you can apply for a three-child birth permit now" and "how to implement maternity leave in the future" through online questions.
The General Office of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region replied on July 19 that after asking the relevant departments and bureaus of the National Health Commission, after May 31, 2021, all children can have three children, and the "birth service registration certificate" will be registered and filed at the local location before the new policy is introduced, and the new "birth service registration certificate" will be issued for supplementary processing. The woman who gives birth to three children is entitled to 98 days of national statutory maternity leave (for national policies). At present, the Tibet Autonomous Region has not yet issued a "three-child" policy, and the relevant policies such as maternity leave will be effectively linked after the new policy is introduced.
