"A Serenade" is a group portrait work, played by Haruma Miura, Sato is a small employee of the company, on the way to hand out questionnaires, met a girl, he believes that this acquaintance is "fate". At Sato's side, his boss Fujima, because of his wife's non-farewell, had to re-examine himself. Winston Ono, the boxer whom Sato pays attention to, secretly resolves before the final battle to confess to the girl he likes if he wins... Suddenly, ten years have passed, and their lives have changed more or less. Through the intertwining of the fates of these small characters, the film reproduces the exquisite story structure of Kotaro Isaka, and the delicate lens and accurate portrayal of emotions in Izumi's distinctive style also add a literary atmosphere to the film.

Another work directed by Imazumi, "What Is Love", also happened to be screened at this Year's Shanghai International Film Festival, and he, who is good at such "waste wood love movies", said the original intention of creation: "Because there are many movies that depict those vigorous love, and they are closer to our real life, the stories that happen around us are not filmed by many people, there are many ordinary lost love, unrequited love, and the weaknesses of human nature, these stories have deeply resonated with me." He said that love is a very important subject for expressing interpersonal relationships, and he hopes to bring more ordinary people's love stories to the audience.

The birth of "A Serenade" also has a lot of serendipitous coincidences, Imazumi Revealed that the prototype of the original book is only a very short story, Isaka Kotaro found the musician Kazuyoshi Saito, hoping that he can create a piece of music for this story, so Saito Kazuyoshi wrote a "serenade", which once again inspired Isaka's creative inspiration, so he expanded this small story into a group portrait novel. "In the process, Isaka happened to see one of my short films and said that this was exactly the style he wanted, so he approached me and the three of us came together to complete the work."

Haruma Miura, the uninhabited lead actor, also sent a message to the Shanghai audience, saying that the plot of this work is not grand, but the real emotions that each character has in their hearts are enriched in each frame, "it is the continuous accumulation of these emotions, mutual influence, so that a small story develops into a big miracle." Imazumi added that although everyone in the film is an ordinary little person, experiencing various failures, setbacks or successes, "these seemingly ordinary little stories are intertwined to form a human serenade.".

Imaizumi also praised Haruma Miura's solid acting skills: "He is a popular and powerful actor, not only can express what the script requires, his improvisational performances often become the stroke of god, instantly making the characters come alive." The director gave a small example in the film, the shy, introverted Sato when proposing, only promised to use the side of the diamond ring box to the woman, "This action is Improvised by Haruma Miura, but we think it is particularly good, because this small detail deepens Sato's sensitive and unconfident personality." ”
