"Welcome to the North 2" was translated, when the French took up the words of northeast China

When it comes to French comedies, it is natural to avoid "Tiger's Mouth" directed by Gerald Uri and starring comedy master Louis de Fenez, a war comedy film that monopolized the number of viewers in France for 42 years, until 2008, two years after the death of Gerald Uri, it was finally surpassed by "Welcome to the North" directed and starring Danny Bourne. The latter has created a new wave of movie-watching in France, with more than a quarter of the population going to the theater and successfully attracting French President Sarkozy.

Ten years later, Danny Byrne gathered the original team to shoot the sequel "Welcome to the North 2", which continued the dramatic conflict and joy brought about by the collision and awkward chat of the first dialect accent and regional customs, and was released and introduced in China. But here's the problem. Although the first part was well received, it was difficult to break the barriers to viewing movies in non-french-speaking areas. Letting Chinese audiences who don't know French understand the subtleties of the northern French dialect through dubbing or subtitles is like letting foreign audiences who don't understand Chinese at all understand Zhao Benshan's sketches or northeast two through transliteration or subtitles.

The northern town of Bergs, Welcome to the North, is located south of Dunkirk, between the English Channel and Belgium. The Picardy dialect spoken by the French Yankees in the film is actually a mixture of Latin, French and Flemish. French has always been known for its rigor and elegance, the most beautiful language in the world, and the mixed language of Bergs is still full of prejudice and infamous in the eyes of traditional French, not to mention the Chinese foreigners in our illegal areas.

"Welcome to the North" tells the story of a Frenchman who is bent on working in the south, who is self-defeatingly assigned to the north and is reluctant to discover the beautiful little things in the northern towns. The trajectory of the protagonist in the sequel is reversed, telling the story of how a Yankee who tries to hide his origin and accent loses his way in Paris and finally finds his original heart. Paris is far south of Bergs and is the center of French culture, and the Yankees in the film hide their accented tails in the city, and it seems more appropriate to change the name "Welcome to the South".

Although the director and some actors continue, the two films are independent chapters with very different tones. The protagonist of the first part is a postmaster general, although there are many misunderstandings, prejudices, discomfort or trepidation about the north, but the encounter is beautiful and warm, the characters are regardless of the size of the primary and secondary, and everyone is warm and cute. One of the wind objects in the film is also very humane. The small town of Bergs swept by the camera is idyllic and romantic, especially the hereditary traditional performance of the bell tower, not to mention the intangible cultural heritage value, but also the significance of travel punching. In addition to the various curiosities of the Bergs Yankees, most of the film is to eliminate the worldly shackles and misunderstandings, and finally reach a handshake of north-south prejudice, which is probably the reason why it has become a hit in France.

The protagonist of the second part becomes a designer of the limelight, and the scene also changes from the north to paris, the art capital, the character stage seems to have upgraded, but the director's vision and lens language have narrowed. In addition to the protagonist's Paris mansion, the main scene is almost left with the broken shack of his northern hometown, and the excavation of the humanistic mirror that he is good at in the first part is completely extinct in the sequel. What is even more regrettable is that the story has always been filled with the smell of copper for mercenary purposes, and all kinds of people in the north and south are full of lies for their own selfish interests, and even the six relatives do not recognize it. Moreover, the chain of contempt between regions is remarkable, and in the end, it is forced to harmonize, but it is also destroyed.

The dubbed version of the introduction adopts the northeast Chinese style to counterpoint the dramatic conflict brought about by the difference between the north and the south of France, which is a clever trick in the translation of the film, but sitting in the movie theater to see a ticket of the French people speaking the northeast dialect, full of mouths "blindfolded", "this is crazy", "oh mom", "buried", "blind"... Good grotesque, at least twenty or thirty minutes more than the adaptation period. In addition, the plot of the first half is more sprinkled with dog blood, and the bridge section of the car accident amnesia is also relatively vulgar, making this sequel difficult to continue the reputation.

Although the first part could not be introduced, the subtitle group could only understand the mysterious dialects in the film, but the dramatic conflict of the story was full of contradictions, the cuteness of the small characters, and the attraction of one side of the wind still made this high-walled film circle countless fans. Taking the drunken passage in which Commissioner Philip accompanied Anthony's subordinates to deliver mail door to door, for example, we do not need to know the mystery of the lines, only from the two people's interpretation of the "Tiger's Mouth", we can appreciate the French humor of the food, and incidentally see the unique and independent hospitality of the French Bergs Yankees.
