There are 198 species of birds in the Area of Circum-Bosten Lake, including gold eagles, jade belt sea eagles, black storks and other national first-class protected animals, and second-class protected animals such as giant swans, falcons, common eagles, and vultures. Through the implementation of a series of protection measures such as wetland protection and restoration projects, artificial reeds and returning farmland to forests and grasslands, we have continuously improved the ecological environment of Bosten Lake. The number of red-billed gulls, red-bellied ducks, grey geese, egrets, red-billed diving ducks, autumn sand ducks, and giant swans has increased compared with previous years. Bosten Lake is the largest inland freshwater lake in China, with a water area of 1646 square kilometers, which is one of the important habitats for wild birds in China and an important transit point for migratory bird migration.
