In the history of Chinese goldfish, the lion's head should be regarded as a handle-like existence, and its popularity is so high that it can be compared with it, and I am afraid that it is only the dragon's eye. As a business card variety of goldfish, the history of lion's head is actually quite long. The earliest can be traced back to the Qing Daoguang period around 1848 AD, when there was a miscellaneous family named Yao Yuanzhi, who compiled a collection called "Bamboo Leaf Pavilion Miscellaneous Records", which included an independent article, the author was called Bao Kui, and this article was the "Goldfish Breeding Method". This article is the first to record the two varieties of "Ink Dragon Eye" and "Lion Head". The lion's head is what we now call the lion's head.
There is a saying that the lion's head goldfish evolved from the high-headed goldfish, mainly based on the fact that the sarcoma on the head of the lion's head goldfish is more plump, and in addition to the top of the head, the face and cheeks are also full of tumor-like tumors. Red Lion's Head

This is a new species that has become popular in recent years, belonging to the representative of the soft-scaled goldfish, mainly bred from the head of the five-flowered lion. This pattern can't help but be reminiscent of the marble swallow in the angelfish, and perhaps the cultivator has also felt it from this. Even if I am not too cold to goldfish, I think this outfit is quite good-looking.
Tiger striped lion head
Similarly, the tiger lion head is also derived from the five-flowered lion head, and this strain of goldfish is mainly bred by goldfish breeders in southern China and some countries in Southeast Asia. It is said that at first they were just ordinary five-flowered lion heads, because the blue of the five flowers will fade when it meets high temperatures, so in the hot places in the south, this new variety has gradually formed. It's a bit of a heavy color, and I like it.
Sprinkle the lion's head
Also known as sesame flower, originating from Fuzhou, is a unique species of soft-scaled five-flowered goldfish, which at first glance looks like a moldy yellowed lion's head, but in fact it seems that there is no direct relationship between the two. In addition to the unique pattern, the size of the lion head is also the best among many lion heads, and it is said that it is a breed suitable for breeding in large aquariums.
Short-tailed lion head
Also known as yuanbao lion, it is a new variety cultivated by Fuzhou breeders in recent years. It is estimated that due to the influence of Japanese goldfish culture in the past few years, especially the appearance of new upstarts such as Lanshou and Liujin, the aesthetics of ordinary people are also changing. The short-tailed lion's head was supposed to be born to cater to this market. Its main feature is cute! Basically, some of the characteristics of Lanshou and Liujin are taken into account. And the average lion head has a color system, basically a short-tailed lion head also has. So in fact, if you take it out separately as a chapter, you can also draw a lot. However, I will not repeat it here, after all, compared with the normal lion head, the main feature of the short-tailed lion head is that the tail fin is smaller, and the other characteristics are not much different.
