Many people have other adverse reactions such as meningitis after eating Fushou snail.
Because of the increasing number of accidents, in 2003 Fushou snail was listed as a dangerous invasive alien species and banned from the table.

Of course, Fushou snails can be eaten when thoroughly cooked.
