He did not understand the book, learned the theory to follow the predecessors to the front line of practice, and gradually grew from a layman to an "encyclopedia": when it rains, the long branches of the triangle plum can jump 3 centimeters high at once, and should be cut in time; pruning should pay attention to ventilation and light, otherwise the canopy tree shape will not look good; Jinshang Road traffic is large, maintenance should be strictly in accordance with the safety operation specifications of construction, put warning signs, set up construction areas...
Nowadays, the middle division of Jinshang Road uses large color blocks alternating with golden banyan and safflower bougainvillea, and the side strip is matched with red leaf heather and gold leaf false forsythia, yellow and red matching, natural and simple atmosphere, good visual effect. Xiamen is an island city with palm plants everywhere. The natural enemy of palm plants is the coconut palm leaf beetle, an insect that mainly harms the heart leaves of palm plants. The injured heart leaf has a wound, and when it encounters rain or dew, it is easy to contaminate and breed bacteria, and once the heart rot is induced, it is very difficult to rescue.
To this end, the Plant Quarantine Department of the Municipal Greening Center introduces 6 million natural enemies of coconut leaf beetles from Hainan every year - small bees and small bees. They are released to palm plants, independently looking for pest parasites, killing pests, so as to effectively control the harm of coconut palm leaf beetles to palm plants.
In addition to the coconut heart leaf beetle, the Municipal Greening Center has also solidly carried out the monitoring and control of garden and green plant diseases and insect pests such as red fire ants, vermilion moth disease, pine wood nematode disease, etc., and the plant diseases and insect pests in the city have been effectively controlled, achieving the work goal of reducing the area of pine wood nematode disease in the city and no pine wood nematode disease epidemic points on the island, effectively protecting forest resources and national land ecological security.
In addition, the Municipal Greening Center also undertakes the technical guidance of plant quarantine in the city, and prevents the invasion and spread of foreign forestry (garden) pests in accordance with the law. In view of the prominent problems such as frequent transfer and transportation of plants and related products, low level of rapid quarantine detection, and difficulty in extinguishing plant epidemics in the current quarantine and disaster prevention work, the Forest Plant Quarantine Department of the Center has continuously explored and dared to innovate to build a "firewall" for ecological security of urban forests and landscaping.
In 2019, a large number of European import logs entered from Russia, Mongolia and other countries and transported to Xiamen Port by train. Under the leadership of party members, the Phytosanitary Department overcame the extremely difficulty of workload, actively carried out re-inspection in accordance with relevant regulations, conscientiously and responsibly did a good job in the examination and approval of transportation, and strictly prevented the invasion of exotic forestry quarantine pests.
