Miss Dong's note: "The Legend of the Flowers on the Sea" is the first dialect novel in modern times, and the dialogue is all in Wu language. During the Republic of China period, the talented woman Zhang Ailing translated it into a modern popular novel, and in the 1990s, director Hou Xiaoxian put "Flowers on the Sea" on the screen.
Miss Dong wants to talk about "Sea Flower", which is the theme song of the same name in the 1986 film directed by Yang Fan and starring Zhang Aijia. The film uses flashbacks to describe mei ling, played by Zhang Aijia, who met and secretly had a crush on Japanese athlete Nakamura 10 years ago. The man who loved himself died, and the woman who loved him went to jail. Mei Ling, standing on the dock, faced the sea breeze and played a song of "Flowers on the Sea" that was close to the distance and red dust ferry.
The song and movie of "Flowers on the Sea" are in the same vein as the movie, and it is a sad story. The original singer Zhen Ni performed full of love and hate and a sense of age. In 1986, this song won almost all the Hong Kong and Taiwan music awards that year, becoming a new milestone in the careers of Luo Dayou and Zhen Ni, bringing great honors to both of them. To this day, however, this classic is rarely mentioned.
"Sea Flower" is full of the cultural atmosphere of Chinese classical music, but it is always the same, the understanding and endless life of love. Such a classic is simply the essence of the years, but it makes people feel sorry, in this fast-paced society, few people can listen to this voice with their hearts.
Later, according to Luo Dayou's recollection of the song's motivation, he was talking with his friends in a sea-view room in Victoria Harbour, and when he saw the turquoise waves and fragments of foam outside the window, he suddenly came to the inspiration, and the composition and filler words were all waved. The melody is like a tossing wave, soft and spongy, and the words and songs are highly compatible, which is very plain and shocking.
Luo Dayou once said that song is a flower that blooms out of language, but even if such a flower is delicate, it cannot guarantee that it will not wither, but I pray that this flower that blooms on the sea will never fall, which is also his original intention in creating "Sea Flower".
A song "Sea Flowers", the old bustling Qingqi layer by layer, how many gorgeous and helpless, into the sea bubble like a nameless flower, leaving a thousand aftertaste, for people to think, is a different kind of swinging intestine. Through the singing of the evergreen singer Zhen Ni, it is like aging, which makes the hearer feel refreshed.
Since then, Luo Dayou has specially produced a chorus version, although there is only a piano solo in the soundtrack, but the sound of the flowing water is integrated into the solemn and gentle mourning of male and female voices, yin and yang blend, rigid and soft, like a couple of whispers, the same cleansing of the heart and lungs.
Cai Qin also had a live version of the concert, which was recorded in the record "Golden Sound Concert Hall". Listening to the ear, we can faintly recognize our bubble-like bright life in the song, drifting and swaying on the vast surface of the water, sleeping dreams come true, as if turning around can really wave and disappear red dust.
"Flowers on the Sea" is not only a simple beautiful love song, behind the long and short sentences, it also hides Luo Dayou's unpredictable talent, implies the sigh of the little people under the tide of the big times, and is like a sentence of torture in the wind and clouds, full of humanistic feelings in the sad and compassionate people. Perhaps this is where the Godfather of Music is unique.
Miss Dong spent a long time trying to split the lyrics of this song and interpret it, but later I found that these efforts were in vain, because the classic things, you can't dismember it, just like this "Sea Flower", in the eyes of a thousand people, there are a thousand Hamlets, the truth is so.
