Fantastic architecture without walls – "The Artist's Tower"

On the sea near the island of Isla Colón (Bocas del Toro) in Panama's Bocas del Toro province, there is a fantastic building with "no walls". Called the "Torre del Artista", it was designed by Filiberto Bonaventura, an Italian artist living in Panama, and has 4 floors for 5 visitors. Because Bonaventura's father worked as a diplomat in countries such as China, the room was filled with artworks from the East.

According to reports, tourists must take a dinghy from the shore to reach the homestay. "The Artist's Tower" is "built" from a variety of materials and is a veritable "wallless" building with only brackets and a huge ceiling. A small elevator is installed in the middle of it, which makes it easy for guests to go up and down the stairs. The staircase inside the tower allows visitors to climb to the top of the building and look out over the rolling hills and the vast Caribbean Sea.

Dreams in cement pipes – "barrel-shaped" homestays in Chiriqui Province

In the misty mountains of Panama's western province of Chiriquí, there are 60 "barrel-shaped" B&Bs that resemble cement pipes. These homestays are made of recycled concrete and can accommodate 2 people in each room. Based on the design concept of "upcycling", the owner of the homestay moved the old furniture originally used for outdoor space to the interior, truly achieving "the best use of everything".

A realistic version of the "Hobbit" homestay - Bambuda Castle

Bambuda Castle, the only castle in Central America where visitors can stay, is located in the mountains near Boquete in Panama's Chiriqui province. Originally built by a Swiss couple, the 4-storey building was later taken over by their Canadian friends and eventually converted into a homestay.

In addition to the castle itself for tourists to stay, its periphery is also modeled after the house where the "hobbits" lived in the "Lord of the Rings" movie, recreating a series of "cave homestays". Here, visitors can "traverse" to the magnificent and magical "Middle-earth" continent.
