On the evening of August 16, a house in Apaowa Village, Kyaukdao Township, Rakhine State, Myanmar, was burglarized, and 10 acres of gold and 10 million Kyats were stolen.

A local citizen said that on the evening of August 16, Du Qiuqiu and her youngest daughter went to their mother's house far from home to mourn for the deceased mother. When I returned home around 2 a.m. on August 17, I found that the two chests containing gold and Burmese dollars in cash had been opened and turned over. After the inventory, it was found that 10 gold and about 10 million Kyats in the family had been stolen.

Du Qiuqiu said that for the thieves, the object of suspicion has been filed with the village administrator. The stolen gold and cash were household belongings saved from the wages of their husbands and sons who were migrant workers abroad.

Local people said that at present, there are frequent cases of theft and robbery in Rakhine State, and if you want to go out, the family's finances must be kept.
