From a veritable purgatory on earth to the safest and most promising country in Africa. How did Rwanda make this perfect transformation?
More than 20 years ago, on a seemingly calm night, a creepy voice came from a Rwandan radio station.
"The people of Rwanda, our great president was murdered by the Tutsis, a cockroach-like lowliness. They tricked the president into signing a fake peace deal, but ambushed him with missiles on the road. Excellent Hutu compatriots, it's time to settle the score! ”
As the sound spread, many Hutu people armed with guns, machetes and sticks appeared on the streets of Rwanda.
With gunshots, cries and explosions intertwined, Rwanda has endured three months of ethnic cleansing.
At 21:00 on 6 April 1994, the plane of the President of Rwandan Hutu was hit by a missile of unknown origin. Both the president and the prime minister are dead, and the murderer is unknown.
The Hutu blamed the incident on the Tutsi, but the Tutsi refused to admit it, believing it to be a play directed and performed by the Hutu.
This incident was like a fuse that ignited the hatred between the two races. The Hutu rulers kept brainwashing their countrymen, telling them that the Tutsi were as humble as cockroaches. They killed our president, and we must take revenge and cut down the trees. This sentence was like a signal that opened the prelude to the massacre of the Tutsis by the Hutus.
The most frightening thing is that the Hutu people, who have been brainwashed by the radio, are convinced that they are doing justice. They don't feel anything wrong with killing their parents and loved ones at all. Like harvesting bananas, they cut off the heads of Tutsis with machetes.
At the time, UN peacekeepers were stationed near Rwanda. They repeatedly applied to the US Government to destroy the radio stations that broadcast Hutu speeches every day, but the United States repeatedly refused, and the United States rightly said: "This incident has violated the sovereignty of other countries."
Later, it was broadcast on the radio, hoping that the Hutu people would go to pregnant women, prevent the Tutsis from reproducing, and completely eliminate the Tutsis.
For a time, corpses piled up across the streets of Rwanda, rivers of blood flowing out of the sun.
But why don't Americans, known as the world's policemen, intervene? The reason is simple: Rwanda itself is a resource-poor country, not as good as the Middle East, Afghanistan and other countries with huge oil production.
Senior U.S. officials don't even say humanely, "We don't care what happens in Rwanda because there's no interest that the United States wants there." We don't need to deal with these boring humanitarian issues. ”
It was also at this time that the whole of Rwanda needed a hero. God bless Rwanda too. The hero stood up anyway. He is Kagame.
After the massacre, Kagame, a Tutsi, fled to Uganda with his family to save his life. In Uganda, Kagame met Museveni, who relied on five sets of Maoist options to carry out the revolution.
Museveni is absolutely right to firmly believe that "power comes from the barrel of a gun". He founded a revolutionary force in Uganda, studied the sixteen-character principle of "guerrilla warfare", resolutely implemented the strategy of "rural encirclement of the city", successfully overthrew the tyrant Amin, and established the Republic of Uganda.
Kagame can see the "mysterious power" from it. Isn't Rwanda today the same as the Chinese people who were oppressed by the "Three Mountains"? Only revolution can be reborn from suffering.
To this end, Kagame formed the Patriotic Front, painstakingly studied the ideas of politics, military, and governance in the book, and finally contained the Rwandan genocide and liberated the Tutsis.
Kagame was successfully elected Vice President and Minister of Defence. Since then, Rwanda has begun the era of Kagame, and also began the era of Rwanda from hell to heaven.
Major Chinese companies have set up factories in Rwanda, providing many local jobs. To support Rwanda's economic development, China exempted Rwanda from 95 percent of its tariffs.
Rwanda has also grown from a dying state to its current prosperity. But Kagame is not satisfied with the status quo, but has set a strategic goal, hoping to transform Rwanda from an agricultural country to an information-based country in the next 20 years, and cooperate with Huawei, Ali and other companies to build an information center in Rwanda, thereby further improving Rwanda's position in Africa.
In July 2019, at the 25th anniversary of rwanda's liberation, Rwandan soldiers kicked their front legs, shouted "121" in standard Chinese, held their heads high, and conducted a "Chinese-style" military parade.
The heroic posture at the military parade was also the 6 instructors sent by the Chinese People's Liberation Army, who spared no effort to help and guide more than 1,600 people in 107 days, improving their movements, standardizing learning, and finally presenting a perfect military parade.
In 20 years, Rwanda has become the fastest growing country in Africa. Along with its development, Kagame has not forgotten to protect the environment and safety issues. Notably, Rwanda won Africa's first United Nations Habitat Award.
This is an affirmation of Kagame and an appreciation for the continuous efforts of the Rwandan people.
Later, Rwanda imported large agricultural machinery directly from China, and agricultural production increased greatly.
In 2019, China and Rwanda opened direct flights, and Chinese tourists enjoy the privilege of "visa on arrival".
A large number of Chinese tourists go there every year. Chinese tourists bring a lot of tourism revenue to Rwanda. With the help of China, Rwanda's economy has developed rapidly.
In just 20 years, Rwanda's GDP has grown 13-fold. In 2019, Rwanda ranked at 9.4% gdp growth, far ahead of other African countries.
During the pandemic, Chinese medical teams have also helped Rwanda through many difficulties.
The friendship between the two countries is getting better and better, so that the West can't sit still and hype up the events of twenty years ago.
They blamed the massacre in Rwanda two decades ago on Chinese people, saying that without Chinese knives, rwanda's terrible massacre would not have happened.
But how could Kagame believe it? In China and in the West, he resolutely chose China. I have to say that Kagame's pattern is really big.
And now, in the past few decades, this country, which everyone imagines as a "depression", has relied on the "Chinese model" to regain its peak and turn a bad hand into a king bomb. The West can only stare at this.
