The pair of longitudinal-bellied owls in Jurong Chishanhu National Wetland Park nest in a gap in a roof. It is currently the breeding season for the longitudinal-bellied owl. The longitudinal-bellied owl breeds monogamously. Early in the breeding season, the males stand high in the center of the territory and make a loud, long, long, "biu-biu-biu-biu", and the females sometimes respond with a few.
