The joint investigation team reported the relevant issues in Zhang Jiahui's case: Some of the judges involved in the case have been convicted and punished

On December 4, 2020, the First Intermediate People's Court of Hainan Province publicly pronounced a verdict in the first instance of Zhang Jiahui's bribery, administrative perversion judgment, and fraud case, and hereby notifies the relevant issues in Zhang Jiahui's case as follows.

I. Regarding the handling of the personnel involved in the Zhang Jiahui case

Discipline inspection and supervision organs, in conjunction with judicial-administrative organs, are handling issues related to lawyers involved in the case in accordance with rules and disciplines and in accordance with law; some judges and public employees involved in the case have been filed for review and investigation, some judges involved in the case have been convicted and punished, and other persons involved in the case are being disposed of in accordance with rules and discipline and in accordance with law. The investigation and handling opinions will be promptly announced to the public.

II. On the issue of lawful handling of the relevant cases involved in Zhang Jiahui's case

Zhang Jiahui was asked by others to intercede and greet the cases, some of which affected the outcome of the adjudication because of her corrupt behavior, and the joint investigation team is urging the Hainan Provincial High Court to initiate internal supervision procedures to review and review the cases involved. Cases where there are truly errors after review will be retried in accordance with law and promptly corrected.

III. On the issue of the recovery of losses caused to the state by Zhang Jiahui's administrative miscarriage of justice

Zhang Jiahui's administrative perversion of the law has caused huge economic losses to the state, and the relevant administrative departments have initiated the recovery procedure in accordance with the law.

FOURTH, on the problems in the construction of the political and legal contingent exposed by the Zhang Jiahui case

The hainan provincial court system has carried out special rectification and reform work on judicial corruption cases such as Zhang Jiahui, and the political and legal organs of Hainan Province will also conscientiously carry out the work of educating and rectifying the political and legal contingent in light of the Zhangjiahui judicial corruption case and the problems discovered in the special struggle to eliminate criminal syndicates and evil forces, resolutely eliminate the black sheep, thoroughly investigate judicial corruption in law enforcement, rectify stubborn and chronic diseases, speed up the reform and construction of the law enforcement judicial restraint and supervision system, and strive to build an excellent political and legal iron army.

V. Regarding the problems of the legal profession exposed by Zhang Jiahui's case

Judicial-administrative organs will organize and carry out special education and rectification activities for the province's lawyers' contingent, and comprehensively strengthen the management of the legal profession and party building.
