| In early 1945, the Northwest Youth Rescue Association, the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Youth Rescue Association, and the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Student Federation jointly initiated the initiative of organizing the Youth Federation of the Liberated Areas of China. On May 3, 1945, the inaugural meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the Youth Federation of the Liberated Areas of China was held in Yan'an, and the meeting unanimously adopted 24 people including Feng Wenbin, Hu Qiaomu, Huang Hua, and Jiang Nanxiang to form the Preparatory Committee for the Youth Federation of the Liberated Areas.
