Talented Player Selection Guide

(1) Problems that may occur

While talented players have outstanding skills, it is also crucial to develop those skills to the extreme. No one is perfect, and their weaknesses are often present and often difficult to detect (e.g., factors that regress performance: inner frustration, personality defects, tiredness of persistent effort, rapid loss of motivation or gaps in player training and education, etc.). These factors can also seriously hinder the progress of the player, and even make it impossible for her to overcome the obstacles she will inevitably face in the high-level competition.

These are the more prominent facts in the process of material selection. Especially in the process of growing up, the medium- and long-term development of some players is often unsatisfactory.

(2) High-quality material selection

Not limited to observing a player during a match or looking through a list of talent assessment requirements, the selection specialist must be able to observe the player's performance on a variety of occasions to judge her behavior on the pitch, on the training ground, in the game, with players and coaches, and even with family and friends outside of football life. We then confirm that the player has motor neurological, mental and physical skills.

Although it is widely believed that the optimal period for training and development projects is 8-10 years, it is in fact difficult to use data to indicate how many years it will take to achieve a high level of success. Young players don't progress at the same rate, and they can't build top players with the same training loads, development requirements, and preparation plans. There are many other obstacles to talent development.

A sound selection system should do more than just observing talented players and then arranging them to train at the academy. We should continue to research and provide appropriate training and development structures and high-quality social and educational environments to ensure the subsequent development of players and help them achieve maximum potential.

Material selection observation points

Selection criteria do not necessarily equal the direction of a player's development. To observe the different ability curves of players, select players who are likely to succeed so that the curve contains the largest area.

(1) Observation points for the selection of female footballers in the enlightenment stage (U5) and the basic stage (U6-U12):

Passion and dedication to football that is different ("flying all over the field"). The ability to control the ball improves quickly. Courage and focus;

For U12 players, inspiration is more important than judgment, and more attention should be paid to the individual ability to change the course of the game, and attention should be paid to depicting the image of the player's shortcomings after improvement, and measuring the player's ability from multiple angles;

/ Women's Football Coaching Mechanism

Technical team with specific division of labor

The Women's Football Department of the Chinese Football Association takes the positioning of the world standard high point as the guiding ideology, actively introduces overseas high-level coaches to participate in the training of coaches, in addition to the regular certificate training, combined with the training of the elite team as the main scene of training, to establish a new training model that is more in line with the needs of actual combat and the learning and development of local coaches.

The technical team of the national women's football youth training is guided by the technical director of the association, led by the youth training director of the women's football department, coordinated by the youth training directors of various regions, and composed of the coaching working group of the elite training camp of all ages, the coaching and technical team members of the youth training centers and provincial and municipal sports bureaus.

Spark Project

The core content of the "Spark Project" for the training of women's football coaches is as follows:

(1) All players who have participated in more than 5 competitions at the highest level in the world (Olympic Games and World Cup), after retiring, pass the level certificate and technical expert assessment, and enter the elite team of the national brand of 15 years old or above, and participate in coaching and technical analysis;

(2) All players who have participated in more than 10 world A-level competitions, pass the level certificate and technical expert assessment after retirement, and enter the elite team of the national brand of 13 years old or above to participate in coaching and technical analysis work;

(3) Those who have participated in the top domestic leagues (women's super leagues, women's first division) for more than 5 years can apply for scholarships after retirement, and those with excellent grades and performance are recommended to be hired to youth training centers at all levels;

(4) For retired outstanding players, the women's department will provide various training camps and various competitions to investigate and study the practical opportunities, and those with excellent results and performance will provide foreign competition research and training opportunities.

Women's football coach training

(1) Purpose: As a supplement to the level certificate training, the coach training program of the Women's Department is conducted in the form of online and offline communication and interaction. The youth training directors of each region are responsible for the education and training of all coaches in this age group, giving guidance in the selection, tracking, training and game analysis of players, and at the same time evaluating and supervising the coaches' coaching attitude and learning ability. Help subordinate regional directors and coaches to obtain systematic football knowledge and learn, and improve their coaching ability through more practical battles and lectures;

(2) Target: Coaches of youth training centers, coaches employed by the Chinese Football Association, retired high-level players, coaches holding C or above who need more practical learning;

(3) Learning content: module and thematic learning. Develop a habit of constantly updating and acquiring knowledge of football in addition to regular level certificate study;

(4) Method:

Regular mode: lectures, match analysis, group discussions, etc. Everyone participates in the discussion, evaluates the rationality of the training design according to the effect of the weekly training, and identifies problems and creatively thinks about solutions to problems. At the same time, he often participates in the analysis of the highest level competitions at home and abroad;

Innovative model: national brand team practice exchange and learning. Every year, it is planned to invite youth coaches to regularly observe the training of the elite team of the national brand led by the coaches hired by the Chinese Football Association, and the elite training of the regional and regional elites of the youth training center, and adopt interactive learning practices;

(5) Learning requirements: correct attitude, not unexcused absence; actively participate in discussions, not be silent; not afraid of making mistakes, and treat players as the same as mistakes, regard mistakes as a necessary experience for development and improvement.
