At present, it is a critical time for spring ploughing and preparation. Tan Minfei, a new farmer after the 90s, got busy early in the morning, maintaining machinery and ploughing the rice fields.

Tan Minfei, 29 years old this year, was born in an ordinary peasant family in Nancun Village, Daping Town, Rucheng County, and has had unusual feelings for the countryside since childhood. After graduating from junior high school, he also went out with his friends to learn technology for several years, and when he saw that the young and middle-aged people in his hometown chose to go out to work, resulting in a large number of fields being deserted, he felt very sorry. Therefore, at the age of 18, he chose to return to the countryside, pinning his life dream on the earth, exerting his wisdom and wisdom in the fields, and throwing hard sweat.

The parents who had been farmers all their lives did not agree to his return home as a farmer at first. However, Tan Minfei is willing to endure hardships and study diligently, and when the farm is busy, he often follows his parents from dawn to eight or nine o'clock in the evening before finishing work, and sometimes in the middle of the night to "catch water" and release water.

Tan Minfei contracted part of the farmland.

Over the years of persistence and dedication, he has also planted rice from the beginning of the circulation of 30 acres of land, to this year planted more than 500 acres of rice, more than 200 acres of ginger and corn, more than 100 acres of peppers, more than 100 acres of star fruit and nai plum and other fruits. Yongcheng Family Farm, which he and his father founded together in 2017, was also named a provincial model family farm last year.

As a large grain grower after the 90s, Tan Minfei has invested nearly 2 million yuan in agricultural machinery alone. As a young new farmer, Tan Minfei feels that compared with his father, his advantage is that he can better operate various machinery, accept new technologies faster, and grasp the market dynamics more fully. The idea is there, what about the money? Agricultural machinery, agricultural tools need fixed inputs, please employ workers at any time to liquidity... Tan Minfei sought credit support from banking institutions, and with the guarantee of the government department, the Rucheng Branch of Hunan Rural Commercial Bank provided him with a loan of 1.1 million yuan in the form of "agricultural guarantee loan" for five years, and gave him preferential interest rates.

With the arrival of bank funds, Tan Minfei's production and operation have been steadily promoted, and he has successively purchased plant protection drones, rice transplanters, large tractors, rotary cultivators and dryers and other equipment, with his own efforts to study, Tan Minfei has become a technical expert in operating these machinery.

Tan Minfei used the machinery he purchased to carry out a second round of ploughing.

Tan Minfei said: Now the government attaches importance to grain production, and large grain growers have subsidies. At present, the second round of ploughing is being carried out, and we are making greater efforts to strive to plant seedlings on May Day, and the land circulating will be planted with double-cropping rice except for those that do not have a fixed water source.

Standing on the field where Tan Minfei contracted the land, Tan Minfei envisioned, "A week ago, this was still a barren mountain pass. This year, I contracted more than 100 acres of land to prepare to "open up the land" to build a simple greenhouse to grow peppers. "It is understood that the peppers grown in greenhouses, if well managed, can yield up to 10,000 yuan per mu.

"I'm 64 years old, working here, and I'm also paid about 100 yuan a day, and I can earn almost 3,000 yuan a month." A villager who often does odd jobs for Tan Minfei said. When he was busy, there were hundreds of people who followed him every day to do farm work to earn money, and when he was young, there were forty or fifty people.
